Slow Traffic, Keep Right

Their voices are a bit annoying, but the payoff is amazing.

mInor infraction - not worth the paperwork - But how long do you have to tailgate beforte they get the hint to pull over - Nothing worse than slow drivers clogging up the arteries of the open road!

Fuck that cop. Cop or not he was purely a shitty driver. DO NOT TAILGATE.

Yeah that guy shouldn't have been going so slowly in the 'fast' lane, but tailgating is the domain of dickheads.

Fucker.

Cops are trained quite highly to drive. They don't just need a normal license, they have to have special training to drive emergency vehicles, I'm not entirely worried about the cop driving.

He could have been going slowly for a number of reasons, the most likely being the mentality of "I have a cop behind me, I should be doing the speed limit, and getting out of this lane will look suspicious."

We don't know how long that was going on for, the camera was obviously turned on after a few minutes because we don't see the cop pulling up.

Also, I don't know if you've just never realized this, but cops do that for a reason. They pull up to make sure that your license sticker is valid and once in a while they'll do that so they can run the plates on a car. (They know the make and model of one they're looking for, license plate being a match would seal the deal) so in no way, shape or form is tailgating for a cop a dick move.

And lastly, I think that's a pretty reasonable tradeoff, the cop pulls the person moving too slowly out of the passing lane, nobody gets charged with anything and traffic moves along again. To me, that seems like a pretty ideal situation.

I had a friend who was pulled over for going the speed limit in the fast lane. He didn't get a ticket, but the cop said if you are going slower than the flow of traffic, you shouldn't be in the fast lane, even if you are at the speed limit.

One shouldn't be in the fast lane one is unless literally passing someone to one's right. If one isn't in the act of passing, pull over at least one lane. I do this even on 4 lane freeways where I am constantly passing semis and other slow-asses.
