Is there any doubt that if it was a black security guard and white cop the security guard would be shot and, if he survived, charged with multiple felonies? Here, it seemed they didn't take the guard in or take his gun.
It was ironic to hear an officer complain that the guard escalated things excessively quickly. Going from zero to 100, threatening lethal force, is unacceptable...but police do it routinely every single day.

The cop was a de-escalation specialst, not some standard street cop. A street cop might have drawn his own gun, leading to either his or the guards death. This one ... just walks away, nothing happened that day.

So, he was treated the same way any police officer would have treated him in the same situation. And now he's suing?

If you want to blame anything, blame his training. What was the procedure when a person with a gun enters the premises? Because the Officer was there on personal business, and not on official duty.

The cop should have just arrested the security guard on the spot... And if he didn't comply call for backup.

Yes, there is much doubt. While bad things happen out there it's not like it's the norm. Plenty of people of varying races know how to get along without shooting each other.

Yes, but that's not true for plenty of those in blue. Racism is pervasive in law enforcement. Overreacting by police based on race IS the norm.
