Robin Williams is known for being amongst the biggest fans of The Legend of Zelda series of games. The award-winning Hollywood actor revealed that he and his family have been completely immersed in the The Legend of Zelda series since first playing them over 20 years ago. His love for the series inspired him to name his daughter Zelda after the Princess featured within the series. -youtube

A whole lotta *love in this. My son is 8 and his obsession for the last 3 years has been Zelda. When he's not watching youtube walkthrough videos from beginning to end, he's drawing endless maps and devising his own little fantasy world. It's very rare a day goes by that he isn't hacking air with his imaginary sword and making those inane Link grunts and yelps, he doesn't even know he's doing it most of the time.

And of course, he wants his daughter to be called Zelda, which I'm all for, it is a great name! Link however I draw the line at, that is a shitty name to have to introduce people to my grandson as

Ocarina of Time is by far the greatest video game experience of my childhood. When you think about it, it really is the kids who manage to fully appreciate and enjoy them.

Ofcourse, like so many other kids my N64 was a HUGE distraction from my schoolwork, my parents would only ever let me play it on the weekends, tucking it away in the attic most weekdays. I eventually discovered where my little "lifesupport unit" (the nickname my sister had given my N64) was hidden with the help of my dad's stepladder. Once or twice I remember my Dad coming home early from work and sh*tting myself, frantically trying to tuck the bloody thing away before he made his way through the front door. Looking back on the experience, I suppose it only served to make Ocarina of time all the more exciting.

I took 10 days off work to play Ocarina of Time (previously loved LttP). It's the best game ever.

It's nice that Robin Williams called his daughter Zelda; but their description of the game in this ad is totally vacuous. "I liked the graphics; and you could push stuff around; and I liked the horse. The new one has better graphics. It looks sharper than before. Cutting grass and finding stuff! It's addicting!".

It's not consistently rated as the best game ever produced because you could push some blocks around. A few words about the story; the atmosphere; the adventure; the world; the characters; the grand scale; or even the music would have been nice.
