Rick Perry: Economic Crisis is OK, Because It Is God's Will

VoodooVsays...

They keep playing a dangerous game. The more they keep trying to say that it's God's will that bad shit is happening to us, the more they risk people saying, "You know what? Fuck God!"

You want an example? See the Westboro Baptist Church. Every one of those crazy little sects act like they know what God wants but even Fox news backs away from that kind of crazy.

Was 9/11 for a biblical reason? Was Hiroshima for a biblical reason? Was the Holocaust for a biblical reason? Was Kirk Cameron for a biblical reason?

Please tell me that this guy is too religious even for Americans.

He says "it's slavery, we become slaves to government." As opposed to what, slavery to a God? Feel free to be a slave to your God if you choose to, but allow the rest of us who are rational, free thinking, truth seeking individuals, to get on with REAL life.

Bring us back to the biblical principals that the founding fathers went out of their way to repeatedly say were NOT the basis for our governmental system or our country? You can't go back to somewhere you haven't been.
Responsible budgeting isn't a religious or biblical principal, it's an economic one, dumbass.
This is what you get from Texas schooling, no idea whatsoever of the reality of your own history, or even the reality of your own present. He makes me incredibly grateful I got out of Texas, and frightened that such a large portion of our populace thinks he's leadership material. Even if he's unelectable, that really says something horrendous about us as a nation.

Perry may be full of poop, but at the moment he's not in charge.

The Golfer-in-Chief doesn't seem too concerned about the economy, high unemployment or rabid, rampant spending. Nor does Moochelle with her endless taxpayer-funded vacations.

Biblical Principles. Assuming he believes that the new testament over-rides the old...

- Non violence. Turn the other cheek. Die if you have to for your cause; Jesus did. Violence is unacceptable under all conditions, including self-defence.
- Care for the poor. New testament is chock full of 'welfare state' kind of stuff.
- Throw out the interest chargers and money changers and the lenders, etc. (banks, etc.)
- Love your neighbour, period. Doesn't matter what religion they are.

I could go on. I look forward to him abiding to these principles.

Quite true. The NT Jeebs is quite the socialist, except when it comes to the spiritual realm, then he's plain ol' tyrannical.

Why do people like this get to breathe our air? God's will is that America has an economic crisis? Please someone point this cross dragging idiot to some real data on exactly how greed and corporate exploitation of the lower financial classes caused this crisis.
