I've tried going balls out in my WRX on some dirt and gravel roads up in the mountains on the way to a hike or a river or whatever and it just doesn't work. I don't know how these guys do it. Anything over 30 mph or so is nearly a death wish for me.

That was a lot of noise in the beginning for what turned out to be a pretty slow start.
