Not that I'm trying to excuse that sinks bigotry and disregard for human rights, but...
This is a well-known flaw. The infrared sensor on these things needs a bright surface to reflect it back. They also don't work often/well if you're wearing dark clothes, like a black shirt.
But still... fuck that sink.

I hate those auto sensing sinks. Most of the time they don't work, and I'm white. When they do work, you have to hold your hand in just the right spot to get the damn water to turn on, which rarely ever is in the path of the water.

We had infrared activated sinks at my work. Always thought they worked fine accept for the occasions where they got stuck always on. Now I know it was worse then that, and glad they replaced them with handles.

I barely see any original content here. I can see now why some people in the past have vocalized this. I check this place out and it is just people regurgitating POP videos.
