Police "provo-cops" pester peaceful protesters

From YT - Canadian cops use provocateurs at a peaceful protest to incite a riot.

Remember, the State has a monopoly on two things: violence and law-making
Lawdeedawsays...

It’s only criminal if it is against the law...but that goes without saying.
However, @ButterflyKiss, this is not terrorizing, this is manipulating. The protesters simply removed these manipulations from their line and nothing terrorizing happened. It is when protesters sit ideally by or join in on the rock throwing that they are "terrorized." If they are dumb enough to be targeted with negative advertisement, so be it.

Either way, this is wrong. A message should remain free from obstruction (Even if that has never happened.) However, it is up to the actual protestors to dictate how clean and clear their message is--and to defend their message from outsiders.

This kind of action really pisses me off. It is a perfect representation of the Canadian government today. The unpopular minority government manipulates public opinion by any means they can. And shoves through policy after policy that the general public disagrees with. The Canadian political system is not working properly. The leadership of both the conservatives and liberals are US empire expansionist corporate hacks. Canada does not have a unique foreign policy anymore. We were on the right side of things with apartheid at the time, and an honest broker between Palestine and Israel, but not anymore.

I wonder what motivation the cops have to do this. Do they actually take direct orders from politicians (who I could see having some motivation)?

Policing has changed into a multi billion dollar business. Some police agencies have taken it upon themselves to claim bigger paces of the government pie by creating situations. It is a combination of misguided idealism and self satisfaction. You could quickly summarize it as part of the Eisenhower military industrial complex. It is a feed back loop.

this is a common tactic in Germany and most "organized" political-themed demonstrations suffer from it. People have actually adopted, forming groups specifically responsible for spotting and marking these infiltrators. They are usually pretty easy to recognize.

The results are sometimes pretty ironic. Last year a couple of riot cops beat the shit out of their own guys.

Inciting violence is a crime. Millions of dollars in damages that may have been started by the police only leads to more funding for the police... This must happen all the time. Glad we got some footage that is very clear in what is happening.

So the fact that these supposedly Violent Rock-Wielding Anarchist "protesters" are escaping TOWARD the fascist state police and that both men are wearing the EXACT same boots as all the other riot cops [who are "arresting" them] doesn't set off any reasonable suspicion for you?

>> ^bcglorf:

I don't see the 'proof' that these guys were cops. Anybody got a reference better than some guy said so and one of them had boots that looked similar?

Suspicion yes, proof no. Claiming police are committing crimes to incite others is an incredibly serious charge. Compounded is that I'm from Canada and know that the officers in my part of the country are not that kind of creature.

Come on, I know what you're doing but really? I won't say I'm 100% convinced, but I'd be happy saying I'm 99% convinced. The way they edged toward the cops when they realised they weren't going to get away with it say it all.

Let's say they aren't cops. They're either very anti police or very anti the protesters and don't give a shit about the police. I don't see any other way for this to fall. Their silence when caught doesn't seem to fit either of these scenarios at all, the same with the way they move toward the police when found out.

If they're there with rocks to throw they're after violence. The way they moved toward the cops shows they don't mind arrest. If this really was the case then what you'd have seen on the video is violence. At no point does their demeanor suggest these things at all. They just don't fit.

Unless they're cops, when everything adds up and everything makes sense.

The fact that all of them were wearing the same issue boots as the cops just adds to this.

And as for the cops near you being OK, that's great. I'm betting these aren't local guys...

Again, if you are stupid enough to stand by while rock throwers begin to throw rocks, you deserve for any one to plant a dud-protester in your midst. Your message was garbage to begin with. And you should be removed.

These people were obviously led by a smart, wise man...

What species are they then?
