oblio70says...Shame on you, Hillary
omnistegansays...Olbermann's Adjective-tionary gets another through workout.
honkeytonk73says...One of a few educated analytical voices out there. He has not a short memory indeed.
8266says...Self righteous indignation. This guy is a right wing nutjob obviously intent on stirring up the race card.
evil_disco_mansays...Obviously you haven't watched Olbermann's show if you think he's a right wing nutjob.
Tofumarsays..."This guy is a right wing nutjob obviously intent on stirring up the race card."
Here's hoping you were being facetious.

I like his choice(s) of words. He often can articulate thoughts and opinions that I hold but cannot express with nearly as much eloquency. It's also a nice departure from the 11-year old "SHUT UP! SHUT UP!! CUT HIS MIC!" rhetoric, if it can even be called rhetoric.
chilaxesays...He didn't mention the Clinton campaign ad 'unintentionally' darkening Obama's skin and widening his features. 'It was just a side effect of trying to make him look sinister.'

RedSkysays...I don't know about everyone else but I find this incredibly overblown. In fact, I find the US media as a whole latches onto and over exaggerate anything that could potentially viewed as a racist remark.
What is so necessarily racist about suggesting that being black may have aided his campaign? I'm sure some people see the potential of him becoming president as some kind of cultural transcendence towards acceptance, as an eloquent figurative act of rejecting the vile, abhorrent history of slavery and racism. I'm sure in the same way the potential for electing Hilary would represent a similar rejection of past misogyny, a way to make a definitive statement to the world, at a time where US world sympathy is at its lowest. I'm sure under that kind of support there a multitude of policy positions they agree on with their chosen candidates as well as a plenitude of bullshit issues such as how photogenic they are and whether they come across as amicable or overbearing.
Now doesn't accusing Hilary of not further denouncing the comments of someone who has already disenfranchised themselves from her campaign not asking just a tad too much?
Certainly doesn't deserve this tirade as far as I see it ...
grintersays...damn, I really want to say something in response, but a race and gender issue inflamed political contest really isn't conducive to rational level-headed conversation.
tmcdermidsays...Keith! stop talking about racism ... the KKK are sneaking up behind you.
bamdrewsays...Well, she didn't say being black "potentially aided his campaign", she said he would not be the leading democratic candidate if he wasn't black.
In other words, he would not be there if not for special treatment due to the color of his skin. As if America is letting a black man become president because its time to do that, and he just happens to be black and a man.
Its a cruel way to diminish the intelligence, skill, hardwork and dedication of an individual by saying they had it easy because of their skin color, and can be especially hostile coming from someone with ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA how hard or easy it was for that person. And its extremely bizarre that Hillary didn't ask her to resign immediately based on how respectfully the Obama camp has been running.
10570says...Are you kidding me? Olbermouth, what about the behind the scenes racism and hatred from Obama's Spiritual Advisor Jeremiah Wright? At least Ferraro did not spew damnation. If you do not know by now that racism exists, then it is time to wake up. I don't like it anymore than you do. The truth hurts. Let us not be 1 sided! The tapes spew Hilary! Hilary! Hilary! White man, white man, white man!!!!! Are you going to ask Obama to denounce Jeremiah Wright? Are you going to tell him that Jeremiah Wright is a catastrophe to his campaign? He was on Obama's Campaign Committee just like Ferraro was on Clintons. Isn't it awesome when God intervenes. Your arrogance against Hilary Clinton came back to haunt you. Hilary apologized for Ferraro's comments. All I heard from Obama were excuses. I have not heard Obama reject nor denounce Jeremiah Wright. He has not cut all ties, Olbermouth this is cheap, ignorant, vile racism, this is a suicide pact. Aren't these your words Olbermouth. You talk too much and you say nothing. We all need prayer, including you!!!!!!!!!!!
Tofumarsays..."...Are you going to ask Obama to denounce Jeremiah Wright?...All I heard from Obama were excuses. I have not heard Obama reject nor denounce Jeremiah Wright..."
That's due more to your own laziness as a citizen than to any fault of Obama's. For instance, see this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=_7piGy0u43c
And this:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6FsqDTVmlKk&feature=user
Both were easily found, but I suspect you really weren't looking.
10570says...Oh yes, the Hilary interview with 60 minutes. Give me a break! Hilary was hammered and cornered when asked about Obama's religion. Do any of us really know all there is to know about Obama? I think not! Let us make it clear here, it was not hesitation!!!! She responded No, and No again, then she was hammered again with the question and she said "no, not that I know of." Come on now truth is truth. Can she really know? I think not!!!!! She's not married to the man. Olbermouth to you I say Good Night and Good Luck! I will be sure to never tune in to you again!!!!!!
10570says...Tofumar, I suspect you do not know the definition of denounce or reject, or you are just too lazy to look the words up. I watched Obama interviews in reply to Jeremiah Wright's so called sermons, both on CNN and FOX. Excuses, Excuses, Excuses! "I do not agree with all of his beliefs.......but....... and......but.......he is like an Uncle to me......" He no longer serves on his campaign committee! Yeah, o.k. and I guess you are going to tell me that 1 and 1 = 9 and I am going to gobble it up.
Farhad2000says...Oh please.
How many people have relatives who say some outlandish shit?
dystopianfuturetodaysays...Hillary would need to win every single remaining contest by 64% in order to steal the nomination, which isn't going to happen. Beyond this, Obama leads in every demographic that matters. He has won more states, more swing states, more delegates, more popular votes, more independent votes and he polls better against McCain. This is a no-brainer. Hillary needs to drop out and get behind the front runner.

There's a quote that I couldn't help but be reminded of as I read your posts reyentexas, it goes something like this:
“Five exclamation marks, the sure sign of an insane mind.”
-Terry Pratchett
10570says...Hey Lithic, wake up already, the five exclamation marks stand for Jeremiah Wrights's anger against the white man and The United States of America, and the reality that some people refuse to accept it. Who cares about Terry Pratchett. Was he insane? How would he know what five exclamation marks stand for? Did he surround himself around insane people? Did he study insane people? Oh, I get it, your making excuses too. Next time really say something, o.k.
10570says...P.S. if the five exclamation marks truly stand for insanity, then what does Jeremiah Wright's anger stand for? Would that be Peace and unification!!!!!
Please, again, 1 and 1 does not equal 9. Vote for Obama, that is your right. I am entitled to my vote and my opinion. Grow up and realize that we are still a free nation and name calling is for amateurs.

Either that should have been "That would be" or, it should be "?????".
you don't end a question with an exclamation mark.
10570says...Shepppard you were not paying attention to the entire content. The comments, and the exclamation marks instead of the question marks were for Lithic, not you.

From reading the newspapers you'd think it was still a close race, but if you check the political prediction markets (e.g. intrade.com), which are more accurate than polls because we have to put our money where our mouths are, Obama is given 75% to Clinton's 25% chance of winning the nomination.

gwiz665says..."We all need prayer, including you!(...)!"
Let me just chime in here, and say, false. In fact it is ortogonal to the truth, because it is precisly and excactly the opposite of the truth: NO ONE NEEDS PRAYER. Everyone need water, everyone needs air, everyone can do completely without prayer.
Tofumarsays..."reyentexas est. March 08

I was thinking the same thing. Too bad they sent someone who isn't very sharp.
