MarineGunrocksays...Anybody else reminded of Googlezon?
Mixastersays...Bungie did not move to Kirkland until they were bought by Microsoft. They were based in Chicago.
I'm such a nerd.
Kruposays...How fitting that this video landed on the top 15 on H-Day.
Great sift-timing, eric3579!
AnimalsForCrackerssays...The narrator sounds like the original C&C "construction lady". "Building....construction complete." "Unit lost." "New construction options."
Being a long time PC gamer I tend to feel that the Halo series is a tad overrated. Bungie's now defunct Myth was far more revolutionary for RTS than Halo was for FPS, imho. I still enjoy the games though...just not as the ultimate be-all/end-all FPS like many frothing-at-the-mouth fans seem to think. I'll probably be at my little cousin's house tomorrow to try it out for myself though...

This is exactly what I was going to say before I read that you already said it

Me three on that opinion. I read in some review a great little line that went something like this - People on the XBox will be amazed at the fantastic graphics and excellent gameplay, while the PC gamers will be left scratching their heads wondering, "How many times am I going to cross this fucking bridge?!"

Irishmansays...Hired Guns on the Amiga was the finest multiplayer action fest ever written.
pragmaticksays...Halo was the first working FPS on a console and that is what made it great and famous. Apart from that it has one of the finest stories I've ever seen in a videogame.
rottenseedsays...Hahaha the Rise of the Triad demo came on the Duke Nukem 3D CD...ahhh the memories
Ryjkyjsays...I always though that the first working FPS on a console was Bond, or perfect dark... or MOH Underground.
I never played HALO because I waited so long all those years ago for what was going to be most revolutionary multiplayer game ever. And them Microsoft decided that they would take their really good original idea, rape it, add working features from other games and then use it to promote the X-BOX by releasing it ONLY on X-BOX. And all that with a final total of what? Six Weapons?
What a rip off.
OK, maybe I've gone too far. This game does look really, really cool.
Lethinsays...Lol. ROTT was the bomb back then... I still think the 1st best FPS of Console history was Golden Eye on the N64. no one that played that game would argue there was any Better FPS (w/ Multiplayer) on any consoles. Played halo 1 and 2 and have to say the BEST part of both was clearing it on Legendary with a friend. Oh all the missed highschool classes i spent fighting...
bellmansays...Pragmatick: "Apart from that it has one of the finest stories I've ever seen in a videogame."
Pragmatick, me boy, put down Halo 3 for a sec and pick up a copy of BioShock. Your 360 will thank you.

They key word in their statement was and in: "Duel wielding and voice chat", the connector makes the statement true.
handmethekeysyousays...Oh Rise of the Triads demo, how fondly I remember thee...*sniff*
P.S. why is video quality so lame in the future? why is it that when people show video in the future, it typically involves blurring the picture, adding horizontal lines, and tinting things bluish/green? Also every cut occurs as if a CRT is being turned off. Anyone have any info on where this trend started?
jacksinmusicdotcomsays...Neat concept, but downvote for making my eyes hurt.
lmayliffesays...The Halo-Caust.
Heh.
spoco2says...Nicely done... nicely done.
I've been very 'meh' about the Halo series also, I can't get my head around using a gamepad over a mouse/keyboard combo... but having just played a bit at the local store... it's a pretty game, I'll give it that. Better water than Bioshock.
deathcowsays...man if I could just use a mouse/keyboard on my xbox 360 for battlefield-2 and GRAW and R6 vegas
jonnysays...And to think, it all started with a sleeping god in Pathways into Darkness.
The W'rkncacnter lives.
