demon_ixsays...Don't panic!
ponceleonsays...Love Neil, but why does he even deem this worthy of a response. This is just more idiocy on CNNs part by giving it airtime... Might as well give airtime to the crazy homeless guy outside my building that is yelling about lizard people running the country.
rottenseedsays...Did she just call him a horse?
garmachisays...Her giggling is incredibly distracting.
mxxconsays..."There you go, we heard it from the horse's mouth"...wtf that some derogatory term to call such an awesome guy!

Because as he mentions, science literacy is down. Any chance he gets to promote good science I think is worthy of his time, even more so when millions of people could be hearing him. It might be a incredibly stupid topic but putting his face on TV is not a waste of time. It only increases his profile and because of his charisma, may even prompt people to search more about him and watch his more serious videos.
Neil isn't like Hitchens, Dawkins and the like, he is so much more likable and doesn't usually say anything of offensive when he speaks in these types of segments. Please keep him on the air as much as humanly possible

I guess if 10% of the nation were concerned with lizard people, it would be news. One of the things I like about Tyson is that he engages the ignorant with humor and good will. And doesn't think it's beneath him to educate those who need it the most.

it's not derogatory at all, it just means the information is coming from the most trusted/reliable/best source.
aceofkidneyssays...fuck he is a entertaining astrophysicist.
Never expected to say that, ever.

To be fair though, I was chuckling quite a bit myself. He's a very funny man for an astrophysicist.
