The way they do it now is the Red Bull ppl get there early and make the basic stuff, then the competitors are allowed to make their own paths - they actually have their own people get on course with pics and shovels.

Well, as much as I want to say that's cheating, we used to do the same thing with dirt bikes. We'd spend a few days cutting stumps and building up burms and digging out sections. they weren't always usable right away though, but after you leave them for a few weeks and let the ground harden up again, it made for some great trail circuits.

You know advertising has gone too far when a basic, one sentence description of the video has to include two product names.

Well, it's a fisheye lens. Extreme bros love the fisheye, I guess because it makes everything look faster and more dangerous. No need though, it's impressive enough the way it would look to a human.
