Why do people need to swear in their tags when it really has nothing to do with the video?

This song (and O Holy Night, which I've found she does as well) speak to some place very deep in me, some place no amount of rationality will ever get to. This little girl has reduced me to a blubbering mess. Wish I had some p points.

[edit]: I did the swear tag. Too much? I was really blown away, and I struggled to express it in a way the Sift would respond to. Maybe it doesn't fit considering the content, but I thought that would make it hit harder.

gr8 that she can sing in tune , but i would argue that its not exatly that good of a renditoin of the song .

sumone made this video uploaded it to the web , if you put a performance or Thing in a public space , then its perfectly normal for people to discuss and critisize it.

- I have seen more exstrodanary vochal performances in you tube vidoes that are actualy Extraodanary to watch where as this is not that extraordinary considering the title of the video

- The fact this is not walking up to the girl and talking to her so i dont see how what u would say to here face is evan relivent in the first place. asside from that what i said is perfectly fair , she is in tune but how she sings the song is arguably bad , if annything she would need people to tell her that so she can improve here style she is lucky to have gr8 technical ablity at such a young age.

For her age it's good. But she's in danger of going all "Christina Aguilera", whereby instead of holding a note, she takes it up and down all the time, which I'm not a fan of. Mariah Carey does the same.

You think she sounds good now? Imagine in around 10 years when the pop machine has wrung her through and Britney-ized her and she's singing about lollipops or some shit.

She does have a good voice, even though I really don't care for the soooooo^oooome of the wobbling and stuff. With some grooming, she could be very, very good.

Oh yeah, I'm with westy on this one. Very good singer, but doesn't sing this song well for my taste. I'm not a fan of the warbling. Undoubtedly talented girl though.

The audio accompanying this video has very obviously been heavily modified, had the bass turned up, reverb added, etc. Quite possibly autotune or something similar was used. The knee-jerk emotional response to the song has obscured your view of truths that undermine your critique of her singing ability.

Also, Amazing Grace is a horrible song. It's just religious woo woo.

I had a whole long rant written about the girl and the song and the silly critiques and the "knee jerk" bullshit above (do some research yourself before you make a dumbshit assertion like that, btw). Deleted it. Guess I just wanted to say this: 1) she's seven, people; and 2) you don't have to believe in fairy tales to be moved by them.

Reverb and bass does not equal "heavily modified". It equals some mixing and affects. Which is usually standard when performing a song. I mean, she does seem to be in a studio of some sort. Heaven forbid they should actually use what's available to them! I didn't hear any evidence of pitch correction being used because she actually goes flat a time or two. Over all, not a bad rendition for a 7 year old.

Not just religious woo woo - the history of this song is very interesting and has a lot of cultural significance for the US. And even an old atheist like me recognizes that it's quite a song.
