Lance Armstrong Tells Off Reporter at Press Conference

"You're not worth the chair you're sitting on with a statement like that."

YT: A Sacramento news conference took a dark turn Thursday when cyclist Lance Armstrong ripped Paul Kimmage, a reporter from The Sunday Times.

"as a socity are we suposed to forgive and forgret abasulty"

"i dont think i will ever forgive you"

what a retarded way to say things like yeah the reporter is a bit of a dunce but trampling on the point of what you are saying with something illogical is stupid.

For some context, Paul Kimmage was a professional cyclist years back who quit, partly due to the scale of doping in the sport, and wrote a book about it. Hes been writing about drugs in cycling for many years. Intresting stuff, but I dont really know enough about the subject to draw a conclusion.

Professional cycling is in a difficult situation right now. When you look at the scale of the team scandals and drug busts, it's pretty clear that just about everybody in the field is doing some kind of doping. I know people who raced proffesionally in Europe and North America, with major teams, and the pressure from coaches and teamates to take "suppliments" is constant. It might be time to make the drugs legal, and even the playing field once and for all. Drugs can only take you so far. In cycling, like everything, grit and determination are the deciding factors, and that comes from the induvidual, not the drugs.

lol yeah it's kinda hypocritical for saying 'we all should forgive', then go on to say 'i would never forgive you'.

But Lance is doing that to accentuate how offended he was by the guy's statement. No biggie.

That expression "forgive and forget", not that great in relation to society as a whole. So...we made a mistake, let's forgive it and forget about it. Just forget about all the mistakes we've done. Nothing to look at or learn from here.

im a little confused here, seems like Armstrong is pulling a fast one here and deliberately misinterpreting the comment.
Kimmage's cancer comment seemed to me a calling out of Armstrong as a drug cheat and I do seem to remember a positive test result that surfaced in the media just after his retirement.

This is exactly how I interpreted his statement. He's saying something after the fact of what he just said as an exception, to present how upset he is with the reporter.

I'm sure if he were to write it down on paper, he might take that part out in a revision, but giving an impromptu answer there's almost always going to be some type of fallacy existent in your words. It was an eloquent answer and seeks to remind me what a heroic personality Lance Armstrong is.

You and everybody who upvoted your comment are either complete douche bags or just ignorant motherfuckers. Google 'dyslexia' and enlighten your smarmy ass selves, will you?

Westy, when it comes to retarded ways of saying things, you're the fucking champion.

Drachen_Jagersays...

The doper gets slammed with a tough question at last. Lance has a license to cheat and he's abused the hell out of it. Why anyone cares about the one guy with a license to dope or thinks he's some kind of hero is beyond me. Give everybody or nobody the right to dope, not just one guy.
