We had a little dog once, (part Chihuahua, all mutt). Every time our backs were turned, it strayed into the neighbors yard and into their garbage at the side of the property. Keep in mind there were no fences as we were not in town and frankly no one has fences. We tried everything but that dog was "Unteachable"

One day we were all outside when all of a sudden - we heard a screaming cry of a yelp from the dog. when we looked up we saw our do running home from their yard - Yelp, Yelp, Yelp...

When it go to us, I picked him up and pulled a .177 pellet out of his leg. We all laughed at the dog because "It served him Right."

We were all outside, there were no fences and we had a clear view of everything around and yet we never saw the gun-man. They must have been camoflauged and hiding, just waiting to get that dog.

Nothing was ever said to the neighbors and they never said anything to us - Too bad they didn't make a YouTube Video, it would have been entertaining....

Since it's on the same subject, a little cat helping needed here : one of my cats started peeing on the wood floor next to the litter box. I don't know why he doesn't go in the box anymore. Mopping piss twice a day and seeing the floor degrade is driving me nuts! Anyone knows how to prevent him from peeing on the floor ??

(please don't say "He's thinking outside of the box"!)

My cat started doing the same thing. I watched carefully and noted his fat butt no longer fit through the box entry. I went and bought a GIANT rubbermaid container and cut a door for him. Our new box holds about 40 lbs of litter. I think the cat is 32 lbs.

If he was only thinking, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Seriously though, have you taken it to the vet? Urinary infections cause all sorts of behavior. Also, try dumping all the litter out, scrub the box, use fresh litter. Put the box back over the spot its been peeing.

32 lbs! You must be using the word "cat" as in the group of animals that ecompasses tigers and panthers. Mmmmmm... I must say mine has gotten fat indeed over the last year. We have this big cover on the litter to confine the mess when they cover up their precious dump. Will take it off and see what happens.

We no longer have a cat problem. It seems the cat version of Dirty Harry has shown up. We do not know who owns this cat. Or even If someone owns it. Every cat for for 5 blocks avoid our area like hell it self is parked there. The Neighbors cat next door will no longer even leave the house. The cat does not seem to bother the dogs and on a side note. NO dogs bark at it. Ever. I've seen stray dogs enter the area and it just ignores them but one cat and its ON. I've even watched it take an a few cats at the same time and win. Every once and awhile we leave a little something out for it every now and then. Now I just need find a way for it to treat the idiots who like to break in to cars as other cats and everything will be perfect.
