Home - Free Must See Documentary HD

In 200,000 years on Earth, humanity has upset the balance of the planet, established by nearly four billion years of evolution. The price to pay is high, but it's too late to be a pessimist: humanity has barely ten years to reverse the trend, become aware of the full extent of its spoliation of the Earth's riches and change its patterns of consumption.

More than a movie, HOME will be a major event all over the globe : for the first time ever, a film will be released on the same day in over 50 countries and on every format : movie theatres, TV, DVD and Internet.

On June 5th we all have a date with the planet !

Beautiful cinematography spoiled by more of the same socialist propaganda.

The arrogance of humanity was once unchecked pollution. Now it's the arrogance that with a few smokestacks humans control the weather.

If you want a sneak preview of the incompetence of the acolytes of the earth religion, check out this:

They can't control conditions in a warehouse with a dozen peeps, but they think they can control the real earth's ecosystems.

Besides the fact that it's clear you haven't watched the film itself...

The film puts forward its case using imagery. It doesn't advocate a certain position towards climate change other then show the ecosystem, harmful effects created, their growing severity, probable problems, and paths for change. There is NO socialist agenda behind it, simply a path to efficient and the preservation of our ecosystem that sustains us ala http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Easter_Island#Destruction_of_the_ecosystem. The imagery speaks for the effects created. Impossible to show non effect of human energy and growth when confronted with growing economies like China, and the western economies.

The Biosphere project has been shown to be farce not conducted by actual researchers. There is no parallel comparisons. The film above actually shows credible paths to change.

Paybacksays...

Somewhere in that billions of years of life, at least one meteor/asteroid strike killed like, what, 90% of all non-floral life on the planet? The Earth, and life, will be here long after we've killed ourselves off. In another billion years, the planet will have a completely new fabulous ecosystem, built on our remains. It is the height of arrogance to think humans can kill something this huge. Life is NOT fragile. Life finds a way. The problem currently facing humanity is the change towards a human-unfriendly ecosystem. It's time for a mass-dieout.

Farhad2000says...

No one is claiming it will kill off life entirely. But this nihilistic approach is just retarded. Because humanity won't die off entirely either, the majority will. What you are advocating is inaction, but the problem is the people most to suffer had no time to benefit or reap the rape of the planet as others have. Most of these effects will be felt by the third world not the first.

You mean, it's 'subtle' propaganda? It would be great if that's all that were happening in these films, but you've got Al Snore and his lies running around unchallenged, and now Crap and Trade, another global economy wrecking ball, courtesy of socialists.

Since global warming is a sham, the greenvangelicals have swtiched to calling it "climate change".

The greens are full of fertilizer and I've had enough of their lies. Were you aware countries with private property rights and freedom have the best environmental records?

"A few smoke stacks"?

Yeah, those evil smokestacks, a side effect of allowing people to have energy to heat their homes and cook food and have manufactured items that save millions of hours of manual labor. Those.

Now you're just pulling shit out of your ass, yet again.

That's where poop comes from. And liberal lies.

Foolish Fungus. Schools emphasize the power of exponents in even the lowest level math class. Take one?

You're clearly a product of government schools.

Thanks for reminding me. The doc called. You need to have your vairetubes tied.

What propaganda is there for socialism in this video?

Perhaps you've seen socialist propaganda (i barely understand this term as you use it) in the past and it looks a little like this, so your own mind draws relations? Doesn't that mean the propaganda worked? Heh..

Bruti79says...

Don't worry, Socialism is the new buzz words for Ultra Conservative sheeple. Give it time before the new one comes along, Reverse Racism almost took root.

I'd like to end with Fail Troll is Fail, but he got me to respond. So, I'll end with:

bad Troll is bad!

Sometimes I wonder if you really believe anything you actually write.

All well and good when that was the only way we knew how to make energy. But seeing as now we know how to use solar, wind, wave, thermal, hydro etc. I think it's perfectly agreeable to suggest that maybe we could be using forms of energy creation/capture that do not pump toxins into the atmosphere. I mean, really, you think that what we, as more than 6 Billion people, do has no effect on the earth? You are truly imbecilic.

I really don't get your mindset, well, other than being someone who can't be stuffed actually making an effort, and likes big cars, huge wasteful lives and does all he can to somehow delude himself into thinking it's not a hugely selfish existence.

Which I think is where most right wingers come from, the point of selfishness. If they are comfortable, no matter how badly that life affects others, they want to keep their 'stuff' and not have to change.

Visually stunning, rationally lacking

It's good to go easy on the environment as you save some few trees and make your neighborhood a better place.

But to disregard human civilization and prioritizing on all non-human environment would be downright stupid. Humans first, animals second.

We would take care of nature because it creates a healthy environment for us. That's the main reason.

But some people put their priority elsewhere, and think we should sacrifice our human livelihood just to save one tree. That kind of thinking isn't rational in my opinion.
