grahamslamsays...Cool, BUT are we gonna get to play it? Ever?
therealblankmansays...*lies, *geek, *nevergonnahappen
Actually, ironically now that the original developers are bankrupt and dead somebody might be able to actually finish the damned thing as long as the rights are secured. We'll see.
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Geek, Lies) - requested by therealblankman.
dystopianfuturetodaysays...Looks unremarkable compared to other recent shooters.
spoco2says...You know... after I saw some gameplay footage on the Jace Hall show a while back (before 3DRealms imploded) I was pretty psyched for the game, looked like it'd be quite novel and great fun.
After watching this collection of gameplay and I'm now not so bummed that it hasn't come out, looks remarkably pedestrian.

i think duke wouldn't be so much about looks but about humour.
but the hype is long gone, so let's just wait and see.
Kreegathsays...How can you tell that it looks worse than any other game? It looks like it could be just another level of "Men at war" and "Ultimate soldier" and whatever these things are called. The song is pretty neat, though.
kceaton1says...Akimbo rail-guns? I'm in!
TheFreaksays...George Broussard and his dipshit partner never had the skills to finish Duke Nukem Forever.
3D Realms was all ego, hubris and an epic dose of 'fear of failure' on the part of the developers which kept them from ever actually completing their project. They were masters of self promotion that made the mistake of believing their own hype.
The best thing that could happen to that franchise is for the original developers to lose control of the IP. Even then it's pointless. Duke Nukem was nothing but a cliched 1 dimensional character with catch phrases shamelessly reappropriated from pop culture. It was stupid luck that Duke Nukem 3D hit when it did because if it had been released at any other period in game history it would have been a total failure.
Good riddance.
Duke Nukem should stand as a cautionary tail for every developer on the importance of deadlines.
videosiftbannedmesays...The only thing that kept me rooting for Duke was hopes that the multiplayer would rival the original game. Some of my fondest memories of deathmatch still come from Duke3D. I miss the wacky arsenal and multitudes of ways you had to kill your opponent. I want a really good deathmatch game again, not just the same ol' shootem up, with the same tired array of cliched weapons.
Regardless the outcome of the lawsuit, the only way Duke could save face now is if he came back as a zombie...because this franchise is deader than a doornail.
EmptyFriendsays...just a nitpick, this footage has been online since December 2009... this isn't some special new April footage.

handmethekeysyousays...Dude, he totally knocked those tool chests into those giant fans! This is the kind of unique, caution-to-the-wind Nukem gameplay I've been waiting for.
MaxWildersays...Duke Nukem isn't about innovation, it's about attitude. If those idiots had understood that, they would have been millionaires by now.
Xaxsays...Looks like nothing was lost.
stayinalfsays...*nsfw
siftbotsays...Invocations (nsfw) cannot be called by stayinalf because stayinalf is not privileged - sorry.
ryanbennittsays...Watching this makes me want to play Serious Sam again...
StukaFoxsays...APRIL FOOLS!
