look how close they came at 0:36 to being sucked into that sea wall on the left before riding the wave in.
maatcsays...*fear
siftbotsays...Adding video to channels (Fear) - requested by maatc.
Asmosays...I guess it would ruin the suspense it if you dropped 'attempt', ie. more accurate to say "Danish sailors make insane harbour entry".
ShakyJakesays...Navigating in that kind of weather is a lot harder than just driving straight ahead; you're constantly being driven in the direction of the rollers making hitting that entry difficult. And rollers the size of those could have broken that ship open badly had they come down on the breakwater instead.

Retroboysays...Siftbot should allow you to spend power-points to triple-upvote or something. I would heartily invest because that was frickin' thread-the-needle awesome.
messengersays...*eia
siftbotsays...Invocations (eia) cannot be called by messenger because messenger is not privileged - sorry.
coolhundsays...If you have experience its worth the risk. I was in a much smaller storm on a boat as small as the one in the video, and we were lucky to reach the harbor. One other (bigger boat) wasnt that lucky, they werent even on board because they spend time somewhere inland. Everything they had on board was spread all over the ocean. An air mattress even flew right into the harbor, and they were about 1 km out. Their anchor also got loose and it drifted about 5 km away. Lucky it didnt crash.
rbarsays...So did they crash into the harbor during landing?
robvsays...Yea so that was awesome... but not really an attempt. Seems like they made it into the harbor... etc etc.

It's a successful attempt. Gotta love these nitpickers.
