Cop Caught on Camera: "Call The Cops. They Can't Unrape You"

Via Free Thought Project: In disgusting dashcam footage uploaded to YouTube on Thursday, two Austin Police Officers, Michael Castillo and Mark Lytle, are heard bragging about how important they are, then whistling at a woman and saying “Go ahead. Call the cops. They can’t unrape you.” while investigating a fender bender on May 24.

Continued at the link:
"With the amount of rapes and sexual assaults occurring at the hands of law enforcement, jokes and statements like these must be taken very seriously, yet both officers remain on normal duty.

"As horrific as this conversation is, some may like to believe this is just a couple of “bad seeds” or an isolated incident.

"Unfortunately the jokes by these officers is almost unsurprising considering the attitude towards rape demonstrated by police nationwide.

"Just last month, after responding to questions about the shocking string of rapes by officers, OK Highway Patrol Captain George Brown was on television telling women that if they don’t want to be raped by police, they should obey traffic laws."

The american police seem like some kind of african militia imposing their will on a township. Or some bastardised wild-west town from a film, where the bad guys got the sheriff's badge. They effectively do whatever they like as long as there's plausible deniability to their actions, or no witnesses left over. If they happen to overstep the line, they get told they're very naughty.

I'm afraid the spirit of the wild west lives on in the minds of many US law enforcement.. it's a case of the stereotypical aviator glasses wearing, steel toe cap booted, pencil mustachio'd ex-jock strolling around a one horse town, trying to feel powerful any way he can, hating all those he used to bully all the more for having nice cars and better paid/more fulfilling jobs.

Why do they always have to be men? Are there statistically more men in the american police or what?

It's refreshing for them to admit that they are ultimately useless for protecting anyone - in that they only show up after the fact and can't undo whatever harm anyone has suffered.

There's a statistic : 'the typical person on average commits 3 felonies per day' (on account of the sheer volume of laws. approaching 10'000 in any given area you stand, between federal, state, county, and city).

Anyone can be arrested any day, if someone simply decides to watch them and make a good accounting of all of their activities. On an even more basic level, 99/100 cars on the road are speeding at any given time, and writing tickets is their bread and butter.

They know the law is a joke, and they know what they're there for. So yeah, these guys are about the most honest bunch yet. Not bad at all (video wise).

When you take into account that Austin is a pretty laid back place, having two neanderthals like this policing in my hometown make me wonder how bad it is in other parts of the country.

Little do the 23 other videosifters who voted for this video know that the Koch brothers fund the group that keeps track of police wrongdoing like the one this video came from.

It's pretty obvious dude. The Koch bros are just nice guys trying to help protect the average shmo from corrupt cops. And he's right. Sometimes I get upset thinking to myself god damn there is so much corruption and manipulation but then I console myself knowing that the Koch bros are out there having my back. Thanks Koch bros!
