newtboyCan't wait.
StormsingerThis is -almost- enough to make me subscribe to cable for a few weeks. Almost...
siftbotMoving this video to OverLord's personal queue. It failed to receive enough votes to get sifted up to the front page within 2 days.
SpaceOddityChildhood's End is the first, and - I loathe to admit - at this point the sole, Arthur C. Clarke book I have read.
It struck a chord in me so deep I hesitate to pick up another of his works for fear of no longer being able to function in modern society.
ChaosEngineAnd I'm loathe to admit it's one the few Clarke books I haven't read.
Without knowing the story, this already feels like they're going to make it more dramatic than thoughtful. I could be wrong though.
That said, if we must have alien overlords, it only seems fitting that Tywin Lannister would be their voice.

Looking forward to it. I remember from the book the big hook about what the Overlords look like. Great.
rich_magnetIt's one of Clark's best novels. I'm excited to see the (cable) film adaptation. I hope they take the story to its wild conclusion.
PaybackIt being a miniseries, I'm hoping they are true to the book, only without following the book. I'd like to see a story about people we don't meet in the book, but they exist in the same "universe". All the big things are unchanged, but they can still tell a good story without having to narrate or some such crap.

It's a very old story so I'm sure they'll take liberties to modernise.
