This is literally every day for me. My wife comes home and complains about her job and co-workers for 30 minutes. If I point out the obvious solution, looking for another position/job, I am in the doghouse.

Tolerating irrationality should not be a prerequisite of any adult relationship. Pull the damn nail out or stop crying about it.

A married friend of mine pointed out a bit of wisdom that he finds works very well for him. When she's complaining, he listens and is empathetic. He waits until a later point in time, perhaps the next day to propose a solution. That way, not only is the issue potentially resolved, but he gets brownie points for remembering.

Seriously...I had conversations like that with my wife!

This dynamic is direct fallout from feminism gone too far.. Men aren't even allowed to question womens' judgment anymore under the guise that such 'relationship control' 'oppresses' them.

You know a culture is ill when it becomes resistant to truth in growing numbers of contexts.
