Did this yesterday, well three of 'em to be honest, and they are tasty, tasty, tasty! Although I put in some jalapeños, a dab of chipotle tabasco and some ham as well... Oh Yeah!

Just made one this way. I couldn't get it off my mind for a couple of days after seeing this. It looks good but honestly I think the extra cheese is overkill. I like the way the toast tastes when grilled with butter so the extra cheese is a little too much. The amount of cheese it took to make one of these things is also not very conservative... took about 1/3 of my slab of California premium extra sharp. Not good on the wallet or the medical bill.

No idea what is happening,but Im drunkand just had a "canadian" pancake meal. And, I got up to him puttin cheese on the thing and I want to power spew.

Funny that of all of the recipe videos on the sift, Food Wishes or otherwise, that this is the one that climbed to the top.

It would be better with bacon, then again isn't everything better with bacon?

I find buttering the bread first with a very thin layer creates superior grilled cheese. Gives the bread a light crispy buttery flavor without being overly greasy (leaving butter out for 30minutes - 1 hour before hand isn't exactly hard preparation). As far as cheese, I like cheddar, but I've also had awesome results with pepperjack and munster. Can't say encrusting it in cheese like he did really does it for me.

I'm sorry, but I find it very hard to take any video about cheese seriously when it has the US's fricken bizaro world orange stuff... I could never get over how artificial it looked... ha, and now I go and look it is indeed processed crap.

So... yeah, take this video with a MONSTER grain of salt about being any 'best' of anything. That is just horrifying orange 'cheese'... use real cheese and you might have something nice. Actually... he does mention that it's not American cheese, but it still looks that bizaro colour in this video

OH. and then he waxes lyrical about how amazing it is to put cheese on the outside, isn't it AMAZING! Um... I've been doing that forever when I make a toasted sandwich in a sandwich press (or jaffle iron, works there too), so for a whole video to be spent on toasting a cheese sandwich with cheese on inside and outside? Gee, maybe you should be watching some real cooking shows instead?

The cheese is cheddar, according to wiki its orange because its been colored by a spice called annatto which I assume changes the flavor a little. Cheddar =/= American cheese.
