Im still surprised they didn't open him up more to make it easier to drain the cyst and so that he could get the cyst wall out. chicks dig scars yo.

It has to be laziness...or negligence. It's not like having a cyst excised is a major expense.

I still find it amusing that for all our medical technology, we still have to drain cysts by essentially squeezing them like a zit.

actually. these so called 'sebaceous cysts' should be removed as a capsule without expressing the content - if you just squeeze them out then it's difficult to differentiate the capsule and it can reform later. But at the very least the capsule should be removed at the end with blunt dissection and scizzors. The gunk is It's just fat and keratin that's being expressed - it didn't look infected at all. They are very common
