Awesome thing you probably didn't notice about Inception

Specifically, about the score that opens the film. Amazing film, and an amazing score.

My copy of the OST just arrived from Amazon today. It isn't the best OST I've ever heard, but it was so well woven into the film, so perfect a complement for this particular film, that I couldn't get it, or the scenes that accompanied particular parts of it, out of my head for days after the fact.

A must listen (and the film is a must watch) imo.

Still haven't seen the movie. I'm guessing overhyped film of the year.

If you avoid anything with the slightest bit of hype to feel superior, then yes, after all the good reviews and positive audience buzz builds up for 3 months, it's overhyped.

It does get a little high on its own supply at times, but on the whole it was refreshingly different to all the other standard blockbusters that come out. I'd check it out, it has some very nice bits in it, plus (imho) proper usage of CGI for a film.

That was a joke. It looks awesome.>> ^Zyrxil:

Planning on watching tomorrow night. Some of my less cerebral friends tell me 'it's so complicated but really cool' - which to me sounds A-OK.>> ^BoneyD:

It's about as complicated as watching "The Matrix" so it's no biggie. The different timing is the only thing that seems to throw people and that can be explained by a simple pyramid graph which I've never heard of but I just made up now so you have no excuses not knowing what a pyramid graph is.

I was worried Nolan was getting too good at this director thingie but then I saw "The Prestige" and he better still be apologizing for that piece of crap.

Errr, and? Could someone explain this to me please?

Explanation? The musical score you hear in the beginning is a sort of ongoing theme in the movie. The second song is one which plays a very integral role in the movie. That second song slowed down becomes the first, and if you watch the movie, you'll understand just why that fits.

That's a very common rhythm. It may not be intentional.
Great flick.

Also, Hans Zimmer was interviewed on NPR recently. Pretty interesting.

Are you serious? That film rocked faces clean off.
