A German pilot makes his approach a bit low

A German pilot concentrating on landing on a short (986 foot) long runway didn't see the sunbather who rather unwisely decided to plant himself at the end of the runway. The pilot was so low, the beachgoer had to duck; and the wheels of the plane still snagged the fence that surrounds the approach end and dragged it down the runway. A bystander was in position to grab it all on video...

“It was me that was flying and I am really sorry,” pilot Juergen Drucker, 52, told the MailOnline on Monday. “I have to say, as the pictures show, that it wasn’t one of my greatest achievements in the cockpit.”

It looks to me like there's a sign up the beach (50 feet or so) that probably informs readers of the danger of being at the end of a runway.

Something tells me that sign about 40-50 feet from the runway says "DON'T GO PAST THIS SIGN, YOU FOOL."
