Suggestion: Power Points awarded according to activity (Sift Talk Post)

oh yeah, great idea.... those people who obviously can spend a large amount of time on the sift will be even MORE rewarded than they already are. after all, let's reward the people who have more time on their hands.... they need all the encouragement possible to keep from running off and doing something you know, productive in the REAL WORLD. pfft.

Please. I've been stuck at 92 pts for like six months because, oh gee, I had a baby who turned out to never take a nap, I got sick and went to the hospital, I have friends who come over regularly, I try to sew in my spare time to keep up with Lil Miss, I have a family who expects home cooked meals at least occasionally, I like to go out once in a while, I read books, I have five blogs, etc etc etc

I've heard the top 15ers here say they often will spend days making sure their queue is always full by checking in HOURLY. Good gawdamighty. Great for them but what about the rest of us who don't LIVE on the sift, merely stop by occasionally to enjoy it? I'm fine being 92pts but don't punish me for having a life outside of here!

Come on, e'rybody! Let's see your pets! (Pets Talk Post)

soupskin and I have two dogs, one tuxedo cat, a rat and various fish.
Dogs are Rogue the St Bernard/Aussie shepherd (who is responsible for 96% of the hair in the carpet) and Nzinga the black hound-ish mutt (who is getting rather old and barks and nothing whenever Lil Miss decides to take a nap).

The cat was one of a sibling pair but his litter mate, Cindy, died young due to neurological problems. His name is Shadow and he's a love-whore. He is responsible for about 3% of the hair in the carpet.

The rat was a gift/rescue of a pair from a friend whose husband decided he was allergic to rats. The two were Rogue and Nova but Nova died recently. Rats don't live very long so believe me, it wasn't anything we did as the boys were middle age when we got them. Rogue-the-rat isn't responsible for any hair in the carpet because he has a townhouse cage to catch any hair he doesn't clean himself.

I think my favorite pet so far was the rock lobster we had named Kompressor - an industrial underground internet phenomenon. He used to pile the pebbles in the tank in the middle and stand on the mountain waving his claws about like the king he was. We would then say Kompressor was dancing. Even though we knew "Kompressor does not dance"

not normally, no, but when I get a migraine, heck yeah. I was confused this time around becuase it didn't hurt as much as before and I wasn't photosensitive as much as before either, but soupskin and I decided not to risk it and I went to the ER earlier than I usually do (second day of symptoms rather than third or fourth) so I guess we nipped it early on and I came home quicker. I'm used to being pretty much over it by the time I get back from the hospital but this time I'm home before its done. My mistake lol

Oh poor thing, I'm glad you're doing better. My husband had it 3 times back in the 90s. I blamed hot steamy mosquito infested Charleston, SC for it.

Are you very photosensitive?
