I'm Canadian, but I'm not old enough to have been around when we made the switch. I think it would be worthwhile for the US to make the switch as far as road speed limits go, but then again, Canada can me retardatly Imperial at times.
I went to paintball a few weeks ago with some Japanese exchange students. Keep in mind that Japan uses far less imperial measurements than Canada. We were told not to shoot from less than 15 Feet away, but it wasn't until the very last game that one of the Japanese students turned to me and asked "How far is 15 Feet?".

Oh, and also start using Celsius, Fahrenheit makes less sense than FOX.

In the very first line of the video, the cop mentions that there is a warrant out for the man's arrest. It does seem strange that the officers don't know the exact charge, but they are in the midst of a struggle. If they just found out about the warrant and it was an obscure charge or something, it could be possible that the officers lost track of exactly what the charge was in the struggle.

Absolutely bitches. However, I'm not sure he deserves a $60,000 settlement. He has the camera there exactly for situations like this, so he can prevent himself being charged, not so he can milk a years salary out of a few Edmonton girls.

I write stories (not fan-fiction mind you) to practice my Japanese sometimes. The difference being that I usually upload it to lang-8 or ask my Japanese friends to check it over before I post it on my blog or anything. If you are learning a language but are never corrected on your mistakes, you will develop bad habits. So yeah, kudos to this guy for trying so hard at learning English, but seriously, find someone to proof-read before you upload.

This is nice. Sometimes I get sick of the "If you believe in anything you are stupid and malicious and evil" so this is refreshing to hear from a known voice.

I'm with xoblaz on this one. O'reilly steps in and says "polygamy" in an evil voice and everyone is like "ooo, polygamy must be wrong". I'm not a polygamist, but why shouldn't we allow those who want plural marriages, as long as the participants are willing of course, to occur. I duno, maybe I'll do some more research on the history of polygamy, but from what I've understood, bans against polygamy we're instated for the most part to protect forced marriages, but that may not be correct.

In all honesty, if you ignore Stalin's habit of paranoid killings, he actually did great things for Russia. The real question, is how you could possibly ignore that side of his rule.

If I'm not mistaken, cancer occurs "naturally in nature [sic]", and I'm also pretty sure that it ain't too good for you. Actually, pretty much from the moment you are born, nature it out to kill you, so don't tell me anything natural can't be bad.
