William Hung on American Idol

KaiEr says...

No, the saddest part of this is... this goes on, on a daily basis in Mainland China. KTV (Karaoke) has to be the #1 pasttime for people here. It is rather odd, that in a culture where "saving face" means so much, people continue to do this to themselves.

I just don't understand why, in the several times they do it, when they jump from a high level, they don't go with the spring action. They jump off of a small building, but only show us how well they can land? Strange.

Did Bush know about 9/11 in advance?

KaiEr says...

Joe... *sigh* Free your mind man.

Buildings burn every day... Buildings are NOT destroyed by intentionally flying fully loaded jets into them.

Your use of the Empire State building is just sad. There is quite a difference between a B-25 and a modern passenger jet loaded with jet fuel, flying at those speeds.

"No amount of fuel could damage the core"... Ummm... exactly, the core was an intense system of elevators. Hard to damage air.

Use of the empire state building as an example, is like trying to use a 1940 DeSoto as an example of how a car accident with a 2006 Porsche should look.

Take a look at the construction materials for both, take a look a blueprints. Take a great look at the elevator system from the WTC.

We were not talking about a monsrosity of poured concrete and hardened steel. We were talking about a relativly light construction of office space. Something built to withstand wind tolerance and load bearing. The WTC could NEVER have been built in the same way as the ESB, the load would have been entirely too much.

Taking out the structual foundation at a high level, WILL cause a collapse... (Didn't you ever build a house of cards?)

You seem to be forgetting about that "other" peice of evidence that people like to toss out... the Pentagon. Built to WITHSTAND this type of thing. Parts of that plane went through a good bit of those low level, more structurally sound, building. Now, imagine what it would do to light concrete and steel tube, with a glass shell.

Come on... THINK MAN.

Minor detained for publicy displaying a %$*& Bush sign

KaiEr says...

Sorry, forgot to censor myself.

I'll skip over the drivel and get right to the point, using your arguments.

Decency laws do not only pertain to images. Who decides what is decent? Well, the same people who decide that those billboards are indecent.

The simple fact comes down to WHERE HE WAS.

He was on public property, on the side of the road, showing the sign to people not directly related to his "...redress of grievances". Had he been doing it in front of the White House, I might have agreed with you, because people at the White House should have an understanding that this IS the place to show one's "redress of grievances". But, they don't rightly expect it on their way to taking their kids to school, and having it visibly forced on them.

I cannot have story time at the local public childrens library on "Miss Molly and her Wonder C*nt", because of the location.

Are you you really that limited in your understanding of what was going on?

The issue was NOT his problem with bush, it was NOT with him having a sign, it was his use of "vulgarity" in a public place in which there was no reason or need.

There IS a difference between "F*ck Bush" and "Bush Sucks", just as there is a difference between "Bush Sucks", and "Bush Sucks C*ck"

I AM trying to have an intellectual conversation... It just gets hard when you keep popping in like this.

Lion Wars - The Alpha Male Strikes Back (2:41 min)

KaiEr says...

And... how am I full of it? You think there is something morally wrong with someone doing something that man has been doing since day one?

When I say I hunt for food, I do not mean I sustain life by hunting, moron. I hunt animals that I eat.

And, what do you think is worse, giving an animal a chance, or going to the grocery store to grab a pack of ground beef from an animal that had no choice.

Hunted animals are free, free from day one, free to live life unrestricted. Your local burger joint is selling animals that are pretty much "food slaves". And you call me a redneck... *sigh*

Fine, if you wish to kid yourself into thinking that walking an animal down a shoot and popping it in the head until it dies is "fine and dandy", while someone who hunts is a "redneck asshole"... go with it.

Some of us are a little more englightened.

Bill O'Reilly believes he can send Fox Security - and the cops - to your house, if you disagree with him

KaiEr says...

As he stated at the beginning, there is a "kill" button which allows them to cut a call if the conversation goes somewhere it does not need to. This was a waste of time on Olbermans part, seeing as he has no idea where the conversation went. He's using a few seconds of a conversation that could have gone anywhere. Obviously, if it was foul, it would not be fully posted.

However, I think in this case, if it was foul, go ahead and post it with a warning. If it disputes what Olberman was saying.

The woman kept harping on how "just mentioning your name..." blah blah blah. I, honestly question the womans intellect, if even she does not understand the concept of tape delay.

Violent Football Fan, Hong Kong - "waaa~"

KaiEr says...

Heck, that's not just Hong Kong, that is all of China. It's the rubbernecking capitol of the world. Nobody lifts a finger to do much of anything for anyone.

I wish I had seen the whole clip, most of the time it would take HOURS to get to that point. Maybe Hong Kong is different, but in the mainland, it's usually a battle of words (As seen in the "Bus Uncle" video). I've rarely seen anyone get violent... unless, of course, it comes to boyfriends/husbands beating girlfriends. And, in that case, nobody seems to interfere either.

That post may have sounded crude and filled with hatred, but far from it... I was just stating what I HONESTLY see, on a regular basis in China.

Colbert Responds to Wexler Cocaine Comment Uproar

KaiEr says...

Excuse the pun, but COME ON GUYS, let's be "Fair and balanced" about this.

Why are you not going off on ABC and NBC as being demonic tools of the conservative party, as you were when FOX did the same thing?

Again, I'm no fan of Fox, I just hate to see the huge amount of liberal slant that went on there, but is seemingly fogotten now.
