Hmph. I know several churches full of people who need to see this. Penn is absolutely right. Proselytizing is important if that's what you believe, but notice that this good man proselytized with an attitude of respect and from a perspective of friendship. I've never known any Christian who does that, sadly.

If Obama had made FOIA more difficult to employ as Limbaugh says Bush did, I can guarantee you that airheads like Limbaugh would be railing out against him in condemnation. The hypocrisy is mind-numbing, but I can't say I'm surprised.

I loved this. Part of it is simply the fact that there are certain things a president almost has to say, but it still bears bringing to light that those similarities exist.

I agree that that man himself is owed no respect. It's the office that he still technically filled at that point in time that is owed at least some small modicum of respect. If he ever makes a speaking tour in my region, I fully intend to go just so I can boo at him, but booing the outgoing president at a new president's inauguration just feels like it violates the decorum of the event itself.
