I always thought Blankfist was a cool guy, but he did get weirdly aggressive and troll-like towards the end. I had assumed it was a weird act of some sort; maybe he wanted to leave the Sift, and his self-destruction was essentially suicide by cop.

Something tells me that was his plan. He didn't just want to leave so he got himself banned.
