I've had the same issue last week. Didn't last for long though, no trace of it after a browser restart.

While we're at it, anyone else been bombarded with "Malformed Request" whenever you try to up-/downvote anything? Been that way for about two weeks. A forced refresh or three helps most of the times, but it's rather annoying.

Ever since vs5.0, if my link drops for even a second I need to reload the page before I can vote. Very annoying

Does it happen after you load a new featured video on the home page? Because I can easily reproduce this in my web browsers and multiple computers. Yes, I reported it but administrators could not reproduce it.

No, only if my link drops. Replicate by loading a page, turning off your wifi for a few seconds, or unplugging the cable if you have a wired link, and then try an upvote.

I very rarely load a new featured video from the home page though, I normally browse the unsifted queue and if I do open a promoted one I tend to open it in a new tab.

Oops, I misread your comment earlier. My bad.

Is your IP address changing? I notice when I switch IP addresses (e.g., proxies), VS complains and forces to reload. I think one of VS administrators said this was by design for security.

Sometimes it would, but I don't think that is required to cause the malformed request to appear. Try it yourself, with my test plan above.
