personally ... i think lowering it for charter members is a slap in the face .... we paid to have more (which used to be and now you're thinking of making it less than it was when there was no membership option (which was 5)!?!?!?

i can absolutely understand why there is a need, but does it really have to be that drastic? if so, maybe a decrease in charter membership fees is in order ...

*reality check off*

You're right Mrs. Bug. When we first decreased it for charters I was actually again' it. I felt (and still do) allowing a few choice members to submit more videos won't overflow the queue and is well deserved. Now it's just become sort of matter-of-fact that the charter queue limit is 2x the normal limit, but it doesn't necessarily need to stay that way.

Point taken.

The larger number of participants is going to affect how the Sift functions. I don’t think we can expect that videos graduating out of the queue will be the same as when we had fewer members – a year ago now. Keeping up with all that happens here is going to be more cumbersome. Imagine if every single member in good standing submitted just one video today. How many thousand are we now?

dag is going to rule the world!!!!! *insert maniacal laugh*

really ... i understand that there has to be a 'checks * balances' system in place ... but i just want to make sure that we are also getting the most bang for our buck!

queue limit is not a personal issue for me either ... i'm sure numerous people have seen the my queue goes unfilled for days at a time) ... i just like to play devil's advocate and speak up for the little people!
