Things have been a bit wobbly lately. I don't think you're targeted.

As far as (1) goes, I just tried the same thing (editing tags). The changes don't seem to take place immediately, but the they do change eventually. And (2) your'e not the only one with mysterious disappearing posts, it happened to someone else.
I'll go ahead and blame SiftBot, 'cause it's easy!

This happened to me once before - every sift talk post I posted was automatically discarded. It's nothing personal, just a technical problem - I think Siftbot stole choggie's stash! For me it was all normal again in a couple of hours.

One of the things that I do when I submit an ST post is often forget to go past the "review" stage. When you are reading your post, and it looks good - it's hard to remember that there is one final submit to go.

Things have been a little bit wobbly lately. We are bursting the seams of our current CMS. To be honest- I don't think there is another site this large that uses it.

We are taking steps to overcome this. I'll say no more at the moment, but expect some announcements/changes in the near future.

I think Sift Bot has had a circuit breakdown since i left. S/He misses me.

As to "(1) I try to edit my favourite tags, it says in green "Profile Updated","

I had that problem for a long time as well. Try this procedure (fixes most things). Log out, delete videosift.com cookies, make sure you are allowing HTTP referrer (if you turn that off with FF extension) (if you don't know what referrer is, then ignore this)

log in, try again. See if you can get a favorite video http:// in there as well.

For (2) it is easy to forget the final submit button on the SiftTalks. That's 99% of what happens. You can check the "Last 5 Discarded Videos" over here ===============>

On this subject, I notice on one computer (both FF) I get the AJAX login, and this one I don't.. looris, do you get AJAX tag editting and login and comments? Or the older static page version?

Note: I deleted cookies and now DO get AJAX login page. I recommend everyone delete their videosift.com cookies (just don't click delete ALL like I just did)

for (1) the problem, as noted by firefly, was simply that for some reason page was not updated instantly but changes took some time. it wasn't a firefox caching problem, since i hard-updated it.

i don't actually know ajax, just heard about it, and at the moment i'm too lazy to search wiki for it
