Strange search results
I've got some very weird results lately on my searches. Example "gnn" and "3d", neither of the listed movie results had 3d or gnn in the title or the tags.

We are currently working hard on a major roll out, but I will flag this issue as something that we need to talk to the Sift Bot about. Dereliction of duty, or in this case adding chaos for pure amusement are not things that we tolerate from our automaton. Perhaps he is upset that he hasn't gotten any new memory modules while the rest of the site keeps getting massive overhauls.
yes, there has always been a problem with searches smaller than three characters.
Please use google searches in these cases. (site:videosift.com intitle:SearchTerm)
or (site:videosift.com inurl:story -inurl:blog SEARCHTERM)
Hey, here's a question, is it just me, or did "this video is ranked 4000 or 5000" get removed?
Is this new un-feature?
joedirt, I'm still seeing it on videos. It doesn't show up on the blog though, or on videos that have been discarded.
so my javascript problems on the edit tag javascript must be messing up the video ranking text.
joedirt-
The edit tag link should not make any difference with the ranking text and, in fact, it doesn't for me. Are you not seeing the rank text on the videos of the main page? Published videos are the only place you're supposed to see it. Let me know.
Ahh ok, yeah i can use the google search for the mo no probs.
I thought it strange because other 3 letter combos like 'cgi' worked fine
Not necessarily worth an entire Sift Talk post, but, FYI, the search process has been altered slightly. Whenever you initiate a search using a search form (video or Sift Talk) results will now include only those containing all terms. When a tag search is performed (e.g., clicking on the tags of a video) those results, like always, will include any published videos containing any of the words, in order of best matches to worst. You shouldn't have any more odd search results.
