I have to admit that I have been a little surprised at how popular the Sports Collective is - I guess because prior to its creation, we didn't have very much sport content - that's the power of Collectives though. We will definitely look at a Sports channel - until then I think the content is in good hands in the collective.

Can we just clear up once and for all though - is it "sport" or "sports" ? [starts intercontinental culture war]

Dag as a channel or category it is SPORTS!
now the url wise, the collective is sport.videosift, and the channel is sports.videosift.

Not that the Olympics are the end all authority (actually more of a US corporation...) but.. www.olympic.org/uk/sports/

Games, Sports, etc.

Also, google agrees:
of about 40,100,000 for inurl:sports
of about 19,000,000 for inurl:sport

I will also point out the links on BBC and Scotsman, etc. etc.
all have a link to "Other Sports"
with a url of "sports"

And this entry in wikipedia
"BBC Sport is the sports division of the BBC."

a sports channel would be useful - while you can put some sports clips into channels like 'art', 'comedy', or 'vintage', the majority of clips don't easily fit channels and this may mean that they get less votes!

Sport and sports are different. I would say I like sport, and there are many sports. Call it what you like I suppose
