So How Anonymous Are We?

Came across this gem while reading my daily news, and thought of the sift for 2 reasons; I wanted to post the cartoon here (not sure if it is already posted here), and then wondered if Dag et al. would protect my identity if the cops came a-knockin'.

What would you guys do it Officer Bubbles' lawyer smacked you with a threatening letter? What would you do if a Canadian Court demanded you reveal the identity of a sifter? What would you do if there were financial implications for not divulging a sifter's identity?

Something tells me his lawsuit doesn't have a chance in hell.

If a Canadian court demanded anything from me, I'd tell them to go climb back on their moose. I know Dag's got my back.

It's funny, after all the debate on the original video over who was wrong, it turns out that officer bubbles is an unequivocal douchebag.

Also, I heard a rumor that Officer Bubbles rapes kittens... yeah, think about that. Poor defenseless kittens. Some say Officer Bubbles killed and raped a girl in 1990, but I won't comment on that... some just say it.

This has been a Fox News presentation.

Next up, Chris Hansen confronts Officer Bubbles on charges... see which ones after the break.

I also hear Toronto Police Constable Adam Josephs likes to have sex with children. Allegedly.

Here's food for thought. I was watching a conference online where one of the speakers was making the distinction between factual evidence and opinion in law. He made the assertion that facts are the only things allowed in court, but laws are opinions. For example he said if I told someone I was going to kill them, then used a bat to hit them over the back, what I've just explained are the facts of what happened. To call it Assault and Battery eliminates the facts and makes it an opinion. He said, it's an opinion what happened was Assault and Battery, but the facts are the events.

He mentioned this was important because if an officer told you you were under arrest for Assault and Battery, you'd instantly ask, "Well, what did I do?" You're asking for facts. It's important because in the rule of law we're arrested based on opinions first. We then go to court and use facts to plead our case. So if an officer like this alleged child rapist Officer Bubbles was to say you were in violation of assault or any number of other opinions, then the facts are irrelevant for the use of force on you.

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I'm in Australia, our servers are in the US though. I'm sure with the right court order, they could be confiscated. If some law enforcement came to us demanding a user's information - we would definitely resist, but again- we couldn't stop a server confiscation.
