I have another suggestion, this one cosmetic: make little Google-style "stars" appear around a video (say, the vote total box, around or above/below), one star per instance of the video being "favourited". Feasible? Cool-sounding?

I just imagine a popular vid having a big vote count *and* a ring/row of stars on it, like medals on a Communist general's chest...

awesome suggestion, and if i may (re)add to it, this is another place the "Meh" button would come in handy... as in, "Countless times i have been searchng videosift just wanting to see a video i havn't seen before". the "Meh" button would effectively track videos that you've seen, and so you could "sift the sift" as it were, like the channels, into a personal "previously unseen" queue.
