Peak hours at the Sift? When should I submit?
Living, as I do, in northern Europe, I realize I may be a little badly timed for most sifters, which I have gathered are north-Americans mostly. On top of this, my visiting time on the Sift is rather irregular as well..
So, whenever I submit a video I suspect might get popular, I sometimes feel that the timing is just bad, and it slips to the eternal darkness of Queue page 2, before receiving the 10 votes needed to get front-page exposure.
Does anyone know, what time on the day is the ideal posting time for receiving votes? I guess its a bit of a two-egged sword, since your vids get quickly bumped down when more videos are submitted..

karaidlProbably weekday evenings are the best time. I suppose submit at about 5 pm Eastern time? As for weekends, I'd go with afternoons.
thesnipeI'd say 1500-1800 EST which is GMT -5 so that leaves most of Europe at 2100-0000 peak time @ GMT +1
FjnbkI'm not too sure. Sometimes my submissions at one time get promoted easily, while others die. I suppose that as the site gets bigger, this will be less of a problem, especially with expansion into Europe.
