Spacy is old, but Dark and Happy were just added by their respective owners.

To create a channel you just need to be a diamond and not already own a channel. Then you just need to choose a name and topic that are "unique enough" that they don't significantly overlap with anything already existing.

Once you've created it, it will be inactive pending an administrator's approval.

I feel somewhat responsible for people not knowing about my * Happy Channel, because I didn't make my channel right away when I got my diamond, and then when I finally did (weeks later), I did not make any formal announcement whatsoever. For that I apologize!
