I've deaded at least 300 vids today .. sorry, couldn't send a notice out for each one.

Are you saying there should be some sort of protocol when marking videos as dead? I just dead them and leave it at that though I *might* PM the submitter with a new embed link.

I'm talking about the fact that I came home to find that I had lost 10 star points. I didn't know what the fuck was going on.

not a pleasant feeling... still, dunno what you're complaining about. it's not like we stole your embeds away...

If they're dead you gotta fix em! I just fixed a few of mine I didn't know were dead.

Doesn´t siftbot send a message when a vid is marked as dead? I had five dead videos this morning and ten emails from siftbot

I, for one, would like to see a profile message saying my video is dead. Not an email...I don't like seeing emails from siftbot for every little thing. A dead video is pretty important though.

I saw the sift talk, and was surprised to see how many of mine were dead. But thanks to the list, I went looking and I was able to find a new embed to all but 1 or 2.

Sorry that so many come marked as dead at once. I know it is a shock, but your points are not lost as long as you fix the video. Poeple have pointed you to good resources. And even YouTube had working embeds for some of my videos.

I know it sucks, but you can get lots fixed, just takes a bit of time and effort.. and cussing!
