I swear Siftbot hates me!
Ok, how come my star status remains unchanged? I have over 25 published posts and still it sits looking very bronze. Did we change some policies on required posts or does siftbot not count my contributions? I'll be in a deep blue funk until Siftbot calls me and says he/she is sorry... Ok tell you what siftbot I'll settle for an e-mail... Or a wink. Oh yeah and is anyone else having this problem or am I really all alone in this world?

It happened to me, too, it just takes a little bit for SiftBot to make his rounds. Give it a few hours, that's what I had to do. By the way, you'll hang onto that silver star longer if you fix the following -

Aw crap links are going dead on me left and right this week.
Oh and I've had that bronze star for several weeks. And over 25 for a couple months.
How many sifttalks have you posted over the course of your membership? It may have something to do w/ those not being counted. I had a similar issue when complaining when Choggie seemingly earned his diamond way before I did. Will this help? *quality
Ah, that is true, but why count those as published posts if it has no effect on your status?
hmm, try again.... perhaps you could use one of these *quality

I'm in a giving loving mood today
Gold Star member swampgirl has awarded gorgonheap one published post for this quality Sift Talk contribution.
I looked. You have 7 sifttalk posts not counting this one. Someone correct me, is it true that after last sift version came out that one had to be awarded a quality point for a blog post to count?
Pitty marks huzzah! Thanks for the quality mark. I wonder if someone who's more intimate with siftbot then I am would give a reason? According to the all encompassing FAQ's those quality marks should count.
Siftbot moves slowly sometimes and this happens to many sifters.![](https://videosift.com/vs5/emoticon/frown.gif)
you can stiil down vote cant you ?
Yeah I can downvote fine I just want to have my status mirrored by my contributions.
Your published vote count says 23 for me. I think the award of Quality doesn't count towards your star.
Well then what the heck is the point of a quality mark?
This issue has been as clear as mud since day one, but I'll try to explain what I've come to understand about it.
Basically, you can't take the numbers shown on your member profile as having anything to do with your star points. Listed there are the "total links" which is the sum of all video and Sift Talk posts that are not discarded. The "published posts" count is the sum of all video and Sift Talk posts that are published. Currently your profile shows 30 and 27 respectively.
Now, if you hover your mouse over your bronze star, you'll see "23 published videos." This number is the sum of all your published videos and quality Sift Talk posts. I counted 19 published videos in your profile, so that means you must also have 4 quality ST posts.
You're still 2 published videos or quality ST posts away...
I'm still lost, why does it say 23 by my star and yet I have a total of 27 published posts as being counted? I think I have more then 4 quality marks for ST subjects. Bah, the whole thing is about a clear as mud but I suppose I'll just have to wait and see, I'm too addicted to the sift to stop anyway.
Again: The "published posts" count is the sum of all video and Sift Talk posts that are published. (I.e., you have 27 published video + ST posts.)

As for the 23: This number is the sum of all your published videos and quality Sift Talk posts.
I know it's all a little tough to follow. Suffice it to say you just need 2 more videos published or quality ST posts.
Ahhhh, I see what your saying now. The published marks show everything I've published. I was under the impression it was just the quality marked one. Thanks for the explanation, that clears things up a lot.
