i don't see why these aren't simply tagged with *dead and put through the process. that's what it's there for. if it requires extending, in respect to the response time, then so be it. i just deaded and found a replacement for the chamillionarie video in under 5 seconds.

so basically what we're doing here is letting dead videos clutter up the sift... i don't think that this is in the spirit of the sift, and will personally tag each of these dead if need be. i will look in the obvious places for replacements, but beyond that, it's up to the original sifter to replace and undead these. if i'm not mistaken, any sifter can *undead any of his/her own content, same as *discard. if not, they should be able to.

i refuse to be forced to scan through 41 pages of vapor to find one that i might have posted, in exchange for email notification.

Agreed, however the last time eric made a list like this, some were not dead. In fact, I just went through and fixed about 7 of mine so I know they aren't all dead on that list. That means we have to check each one to make sure before they are deaded. Deaded?

In any event, James said a solution to the dead ones was on the way.

I do go through the list once a day to remove fixed vids.

How do you find these? Just look by ID and increment a #? You seem to have taken on the Grim Reaper role
