Comment Replying
In heated threads, people will be replying left and right, so why not have an actual reply system? Youtube has a good system for that, where the reply goes directly under the question or argument posed. Am I the only one who thinks this?

No. I say no because
a.) I can't STAND those types of comment threads.
b.) Yeah you might be replying to a particular comment, but most people do that while making their own points about things,
c.) It ruins the continuity of the thread because its just easier for people to scroll down to see new comments that have to search through comments with other comments under them, but not the next comment. See? Gets confusing.
I vote no. Besides, we pride ourselves on not being ewetoobish.
I prefer using the @ and ^ symbols (and quote), not in this case though as I make my own point in this comment that is not directly related to arsenault185's comment.
Generally I can follow the various discussions, even though they're mixed up.
If this were to be done, it would have to be done very, very carefully. They way it works now, you can see the chronology of posts, the youtube way is much more confusing.
Like youtube? No thank you.
no way....this kinna blog ain't that kinna blog....Thank Fucking Christ and Getta Room!
Well, not exactly like Youtube, I just thought a similar system would work well for threads. Oh well.
I agree with you, randomize!
Not necessarily like youtube, but I do like the way that replies are handled at a place like Joystiq. It just makes things cleaner and more organized.
And I'm going to *quality this, because I think it's a good idea.
Awarding randomize with one star point for this contribution to Sift Talk - declared quality by Sarzy.
I just read my own comments repeatedly and fall in love with myself all over again. I have nothing important to say, neither does anybody else. If somebody REALLY wants to know what you have to say, they'll take the time to look for it.

As anyone who's visited our latest Siftquisition knows, this is how I roll, too.
Oh, and I like our comments the way they are, but it really wouldn't bother me too much if they got switched, either. This particular one doesn't get me worked up either way.
