Bug: Duplicate entries in the recent comments report
Hopefully someone else has also seen this. Click on recent comments and tell me if you see something like this - note the duplicate comment in yellow in the image linked below:

If you go to the post itself, there will only be a single comment. I
don't see any pattern to this bug - but I'll see one or more instances
of this happening on every 'recent comments' page. I even saw a triple
dupe including both a comment written by me, and by siftbot!
Looking forward to hearing if anyone else is seeing this.Hopefully someone else has also seen this. Click on recent comments and tell me if you see something like this - note the duplicate comment in yellow.
Rebooting my system didn't help either. Looking forward to hearing if anyone else is seeing this.

Fixed the link to screenshot. I'm not sure what could be causing this. I'm having trouble duplicating it. Is it happening on many entries? or just one dupe per page?
I'm now getting it for Top Videos also. I'll get two identical storyid for some of the videos, and still only 10 per page. So it's sending that way.
I've also seen it on the recent comments. (also my internets has been a little laggy lately, but that's cause TimeWarner are greedy bastards) I get it quite a lot for probably a few days now.. It could be just one comment doubled, or five in a row. Seems like the sql is hiccup.
Actually, it is not random. -> Top Videos

looks like the # of comments per page has been shortened (my imagination?) and that seems to help. don't get as many duplicated. But Top Videos might debug what might be going on. That's doubling up some quite regularly. And I'm pretty sure it was NOT doing that yesterday (I mentioned to lucky about sorting being off, ie. sort some videos as if votes were doubled. 89, 88, 42, 76, etc.) And I didn't notice any doubles two days ago, but today is pretty regular.
This comment shows as doubled http://www.videosift.com/story.php?id=15891
Both of these problems should be fixed now. Please let me know if I'm wrong about that, though.
lucky, i'm pretty sure the next>> (page numbers) are broke now on Top Videos.
« previous 1 next » (no 2,3, etc) I've logged out, deleted cookies, etc.
cheers!
lucky,
FYI, it is not fixed now. I know there are more recent comments, including my own, but they don't show up on recent list. I think it is only showing comments on videos, instead of also including blogposts and comments on discarded. comments.php?comment_order=all_threaded still works like before.
My recent comments (or even clicking the drop down box for recent -chrono)

One more try... *crosses toes* Should be okay now...
It looks fixed - hurray! Thanks Lucky - and one of my silent upgrade requests - a "recent comments" link on Sift Talk, has also appeared - hurray and thanks again!
Weird - the "recent comments" link on Sift Talk appeared yesterday but now it's missing again - any chance of recovering that handy little link?
