"I guess it's like Salo"

not really. for me Salo has (a lot of) artistic value. it just happens to be based upon an adapted story of a very controversial book (a lot more shocking scenes in there then in the movie i'd say)

Cannibal Holocaust is just a cheap attempt at creating as much controversy as possible with a 'snuff'-like movie. It certainly succeeded in doing that, but the movie is almost unwatchable not because of the violence but because it lacks all substance, has a lame story and is extremely boring.

Yeah, I own it and Salo. C.H. is basically a precursor to the Faces of Death series. The cover of the movie would make a neat t-shirt. I think I'll play it at work next Monday.

I went to see this movie thinking "Hahaha, this is going to be a hilarious cannibal movie!"

But then they showed animals getting slowly butchered, women getting raped, and some douchebags getting their penis chopped up (which wasn't so bad because they we're douchebags).

I haven't been shocked by any violence in movies since I've seen this one. My friend left the theatre.

It's also too late at night for me to write coherent sentences and to spell wurds correctly
