Would Post Titles Look Better Like This?
For no real reason whatsoever I was just playing with some different fonts for the title text of videos and wondered what ye all might think. I think the font looks pretty eye-catching, but it's also a little bit of jarring because I'm so used to the plain old font.
In any case, you can try it out by adding ?fonttest=1 to the end of any VideoSift URL. For example:
http://videosift.com?fonttest=1
http://videosift.com/talk?fonttest=1
http://videosift.com/video/Enya-Watermark?fonttest=1
What do you think? Just curious.

I can see that this poll is heading downhill fast, so I've changed up the font a bit. This should get a few more Yes votes!

I like the vintage newspaper style font of the first example.
Looks cool, but it takes up a bit of room.
Eye-catching but for the wrong reasons. Really jarring- stick with the sans font, or if you're looking for an updated look may I humbly suggest Futura? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futura_%28typeface%29
I've been using it as my default font for years now- get lots of compliments.
I went with no... purely from the point of view that it's inconsistent with the fonts used everywhere else on the site.
It would be nice to be able to choose whatever font one would like to view the sift in.
Sans-serif for web please. We're not a newspaper.
If we wanna revamp titles, any way we could raise the max length? 80 characters is about half what most video sources use these days.
Truthfully,
It's hard to know if the font you are seeing, is the font I am seeing (or the font others are seeing).
For us to pick up on the font change, We need to have the same font installed on our computers.
What I am seeing looks like a Times Roman font. So I like the Sans font better.
Perhaps these tables can help you decide on which fonts are the most popular across most computers.

How do I change my vote to yes?
Comic Sans!! Woooo. Please, oh please, use Papyrus to wig out every OCD font-monkey around here
I applaud the effort and the drive you have to make this place awesome-er, but NO NO NO NO NO NO!
Comic Sans is already the world's favorite font, but I'm not sure that Hitler would approve.
Then again, you could always give Arial a go...
...or maybe not.
(Fonting is hard)
THE GOGGLES THEY DO NOTHING
Lucky, I've worked in typesetting a number of years. The headline font the site uses NOW works very well. The other fonts you are suggesting are NOT an improvement!
Yes, I have looked at the UPDATE fonts.

Can we put one of those super-awesome lake reflection java apps below all the titles too?
And some midi music. Videosift needs midi.
Kill Comic Sans with FIRE!
