What Zack Snyder lacks in general directing skills, he makes up for exponentially with his action scenes. Because of those actions scenes, Man of Steel was the first super hero film I actually enjoyed in almost forever. I get that most people loathe that film, but for me it delivered on what's been lacking from the "super hero" genre since its introduction to film: super-human, appropriately-sized destruction and chaos.

I would like to point out that a while back, @bobknight33 actually calmly asked me to ignore him, so being a reasonable person I complied, but even though I have repeatedly asked him to do the same, he refuses to return the favor and instead continues to comment on and "to" me, knowing full well I can't read his posts (unless I log out and search them out, which I'm loath to do). Pretty douchey if you ask me.

I found his posts to be consistently whining, underhanded, backwards, bigoted, completely uneducated, and pretty much 100% wrong 100% of the time, and quite often completely ignoring or intentionally flaunting the rules here. I'm also curious why he has not at the least been hobbled yet. He clearly only comes here to try to 'rile up the lefties' and be as insulting as his intellect will allow, not to engage in rational discussion. That's why ignoring him was not a big deal, I wasn't missing anything worth reading. Sadly, as you point out, ignoring him is simply ignoring the problem and allowing it to fester.

Maybe I'm weird, but while all these people seem to struggle with old relationships and self-loathing, I simply struggle with the looming fact that I am ever so swiftly growing closer to the complete annihilation of self that is death.

They worry about who their Ex is seeing, I worry about my rational mind telling me that nothing exists (for me) after death so why bother with anything?

They try to salve their thoughts with the idea that they can improve if they work at it, while I try to desperately ignore all logical and scientific reasoning to try and have hope that there is some type of afterlife.

Yes it is important the field you work in. You are going to spend something like 40% of your waking hours doing it. If you think doubleshifting manual labour under scorching sun and whips is somehow equivalent to 8 hours in an office environment where you answer phones or w/e, you've lost the thread.

You're right that not everyone can change jobs. You grossly exaggerate what is required to do so, however. Yes, changing between highly skilled careers that required a significant amount of specialized knowledge isn't available to all that many people. But you can't even see the miseries of slave labour from the desk of your first career, they're so far away.

You haven't thought too much about infrastructure and what it would mean to have it removed, have you? Of course infrastructure is a benefit to employers, but that's not relevant to how beneficial it is to the 'slaves'. I expect casual access to electricity, water, and world wide communication would have done a lot for slaves, to name just a few of the elements of infrastructure. I was addressing hostility from other slaves. You are probably right in that the tribalism it fosters can be very dangerous where countries clash. In a system without government, spats would result in undending blood feuds, all across the territory ruled by the anarchy, whereas under a state, if they happen across borders they can erupt into something far worse.

I don't agree with the way the US has handled the extremist muslim situation that they mid-wifed in the middle east. But are you going to tell me that you're less safe, now, even after all the alluded too transgressions, than some rural farmer in South Sudan, who is effectively living without any guaranteed rights?

I'm definitely for more compassion and socialism than seen in modern US policy, so I'm not sure what your point is. Are you trying to claim that policies on slave plantations were more generous towards the slaves than our current policies are towards us?

To claim that the collective non-consumption of 3%ish of the country is not taken into account in meat production is a pretty dim outlook of the intelligence of food executives. Of course one vegetarian doesn't make much difference. Neither does one vote or one person's taxes. If you're railing against incremental action, you'll have problems with a lot more than people's dietary choices.

On the other hand, the business about soy consumption is a baffling new argument circulating the internet. I say baffling, because it only takes about 15 seconds of hard thinking to debunk. (Hint: animals eat soy, you eat animals). Almonds, of course, are as optional for vegans as everyone else.

But all of this is a sideshow. The real point is that I make choices that do no one any harm and make me feel better. You on the other hand apparently go sifting through the internet for arguments against my lifestyle, fail to subject those arguments to even cursory critical thinking in your zeal, and parrot them on a video sharing community while proudly declaring your loathing for people like me.
