When Police use "Grappler Bumper" to end a car pursuit

Pedotrump

newtboy says...

No other Howard Stern guest ever talked about lusting after their teenage daughters, or violating young teenagers by forcing their way into their dressing rooms and leering at them undressing, or publicly catcalled 10 year olds on camera, or bragged about grabbing any random woman or girl by the pussy, or trying to buy sex from their friends wives while they were both married by buying them new furniture like the bitch Trump knows he is. What's your point? That incestuous pedophilia is OK if confessed to a shock jockey? Um....
Btw, it wasn't just on Howard Stern either, it was nearly everywhere he was interviewed....he couldn't even stop lusting after his daughters on the View.

Trump allowed Epstein access to maralago and his home for over a decade after Epstein pleaded guilty to pedophilia. He only banned him when Trump's employee's threatened to sue Trump for setting them up to be raped.

The last time they were together, except all those times they partied at Epstien's island, or other homes, or in public, or friends private orgies, or....well, I could go on all day. They never broke ties. Trump just had to ban him from Trump's properties for liability reasons.

Clinton and Epstein never met in person from all reports....unlike Trump who was his best friend for decades, including well after it became public knowledge Epstein was a serial pedophile rapist.

Daughter raping low T is floundering, Bobski. So is your disinformation campaign. Sad you can't come up with better.....but expected.

🤦‍♂️

WOW
I am shocked that Trump was shocking on Howard Stern. Really HS show is so conservative in nature. Shocking.

Trump kicked out Epstein way back of his mar a lago resort for trying to finger bang a teen worker.

That's the last time there were together, other accidentally meeting at a non Trump gathering

But Slick Willie and host of other folks fly with Epstein but yet to post such. Just another Anti Trumper.

A Surreal Look at Getting Around Buenos Aires

Remarkable. The details of the shadows under the jockeys and the bike riders is incredible (I think?... as a physics and chemistry nerd, I have no idea how something like this is even done).

Millennial Home Buyer

Driverless cars and AI in general. AI is capable in the very near future of kicking off a revolution to rival the industrial one we all learned about. Huge increase in productivity and a reduction in expenditure for large corporations that currently rely on human labour. And AI that can fix and monitor the robot workers.

Which also means unemployment without a new job to go for. But if 50% of people don't have an income, who is going to buy the stuff the robots produce? That's where universal basic income comes in. Tax AI to fund UBI which would allow people to pursue their own goals in life. Fully automated luxury communism ala star trek! Credit to Aaron Bastani for that idea.

I await someone mocking the idea of UBI, calling me a lazy idiot, saying people will turn to drugs and crime, without providing a single alternative solution to the certainty of automation and what it will do to the economy. If boardroom jockeys find out that they can get robots to do the work of 1/2 of their staff for 1/100th of the cost, 1/100th of the errors, none of the stress, illness, holiday or sleep time, do you honestly think they won't? This IS going to happen.

Meanwhile RE: housing prices - if roast chickens had increased in price at the same rate houses have, each would be £50 - it would be unacceptable. Having a place to live is equally necessary for life, so why is it acceptable and even encouraged, celebrated by some?

Decentralization is the key. To almost everything city wise..... housing, transport, modern farming etc.

Especially with cars driving themselves soon and the interwebs.

But that will never happen when your president is a real-estate agent lol. The more people you can squeeze into cities the more Trumps buildings be worth.

Oregon Cop Kicks Biker in Chest

Ashenkase says...

"Even if the bike wasn't stopping, he wasn't endangering anyone"

Speeding, multiple double yellow line passing, aggressive lane changes, high speed cornering. This guy WAS endangering others.

Some and I stress only some rocket jockeys are complete douches when it comes to overstepping the bounds which this guy WAS doing.

"so there was no reason to hit him"

I agree, the take down was ridiculous.

This Much Will Kill You

robbersdog49 says...

It's fucking tragic. The family got a $16,500,000 payout from the station, but I'm sure they'd much rather just have their mum back.

"Those people that are drinking all that water can get sick and possibly die from water intoxication," Brooks said, to which disc jockeys replied they "were aware of that" and that contestants had signed a release "so we're not responsible."

The organisers openly said that they knew it could kill the contestants but they don't care because they signed wavers so it's their fault if they die!

remember the radio show where they had a water drinking contest?
a nurse called in and urged them to stop, and the DJs laughed it off.
the contest winner died the next day.

Homeless Guy Knowledge

dannym3141 says...

This kind of attitude is depressing. It's none of your business what someone does in their spare time when no one else is affected by it. There are functioning alcoholics turning up for work pissed, flying planes, driving buses, teaching children. But no, let's go after the guy who sits in his bedroom playing music with a joint. Let's prevent him from having a life, even if he is self medicating a mental illness. It serves him right - if he's got an illness, he shouldn't be using naturally occurring medicine like our ancestors have for thousands upon thousands of years, no! He should be paying hundreds of pounds to a big pharma company for a pill that they invented a few years ago.

The premise behind drugs testing people is based on many things i disagree with:
1) the spectacular failure of the war of drugs - not only has drug use increased in the timeframe, but it has ruined probably millions of lives, needlessly turning ordinary, hard working people into criminals for no good reason other than "we like this plant, but we don't like this plant, and now neither may you"
2) the origin of the war on drugs - which iirc from a well sourced and produced video on here recently was instigated by a vindictive racist who wanted to go criminalise things that were seen as "black people" pastimes
3) the bias of the war on drugs - where drugs associated with the poor and underprivileged are relentlessly pursued to the detriment of functioning happy families across the world, but drugs associated with rich white folk such as those boardroom jockeys who snort coke in the office bathroom, nah, give them an easy time
4) the american prison business - which demands a steady supply of low cost, low maintenance, low rights workers who have no choice in the matter
5) the spreading of disinformation through formal education/popular media, and lack of actual knowledge or experience of drugs - which has led to a generation of people who now firmly believe that the moment you inhale a particle of THC (or "inject 1 marijuana" to the uninitiated), your brain turns into a fried egg, and you immediately begin stealing, cheating, and peddling dangerous items to children

Some of the brightest and best humans were influenced and inspired by drugs. If i wrote a list of people that i had the greatest respect for and who i considered to have made a positive influence on the world, half of them would almost certainly be drugs users; and i mean scientists, writers and artists. Your philosophy is a detriment to society, but thankfully as the decades pass, there are less and less with that philosophy. I loathe being blunt, but there is nothing worse than someone who feels the need to dictate to others what they should and shouldn't do on the basis of what they personally do or don't approve of.

We might get about 90 years on this planet with a bit of luck - why the hell do the minority spend so much time trying to dictate to the majority what they do with that time? And why do the majority let them? What sort of control fetish is it that inclines people to want to do that?

This guy's life has been fucking ruined by your adopted philosophy towards drugs, and you offer to help him as long as he bends to your will? How magnanimous of you to stoop to gutter level to help a mere drug-addled cretin... I think he'd tell you to stick your job, he's overqualified to work under you.

Car Parks on Pedestrian Crossing. Pedestrian Gets Revenge

Mordhaus says...

The guy is just as much of a dick as the guy blocking the lane. Why, you ask?

Well, as you can clearly see, he is not only 'punishing' the car blocking the lane, but he is also causing people behind the car to be held up and also creating a situation very conducive to causing accidents as those people jockey to get around the blockage. Did all those people force the person in the car to block the lane? Why should they be punished for the actions of one other driver?

Basically the protester's arrogance equals or exceeds that of the driver he is 'teaching a lesson'.

Last Week Tonight - Ferguson and Police Militarization

VoodooV says...

To be fair to lantern, he said "smash his face in" in reference to me in the lounge when I wasn't there. So it wasn't like it was a direct threat, so I apologize for embellishing a bit. but yeah. Lantern obviously forgot that the Lounge is recorded for everyone to see for many days. He also seems to forget that everyone can see his comment history and all the other retarded and racist things he has said over the years.

So while it MAY NOT have been a "threat" per se. It shows a propensity for violence when mere words are exchanged.

Standard Internet Tough Guy syndrome.

It doesn't even matter if he is a cop or not. Either way it makes him look bad. Either he's lying about being a cop. Or he is a cop and he's just a desk jockey talking tough. Or he is actually on the streets and we've seen first hand how quick to anger and racist he is (not to mention insecure). No scenario paints him in a good light.

And this is why you don't make appeals to authority. It's a logical fallacy in the first place and when you try to bring RL into an internet debate without using the disclaimer that it's all anecdotal anyway (there's that word again Lantern, maybe you really should look it up), it usually means your arguments don't have their own merits and it just devolves into "my dad can beat up your dad" mentality which pretty much means you've lost.

dannym3141 said:

Seriously? Threatening someone over the internet is a sign of the kind of person who has a lot of front but no follow up. The kind of person that might try to intimidate someone but immediately relieve themselves in their trousers when they get called out on it. A weak person with a complex about inadequacy.

Having now watched the video, it fills me with dread to know that there are people like @lantern53 and @bobknight33 that would, with their head held high, say that they stand with the kind of police that i just saw say, on video, "bring it you animals" in any context to anyone or anything.

Last Week Tonight - Ferguson and Police Militarization

VoodooV says...

Yet you keep responding. I must be pushing your buttons again ☺

If a guy like me on the Internet can make you angry so easily and make you lose your cool, I'm going go ahead and say you're not a cop, or a very bad one, or just a fucking desk jockey. In either case, the instant you try to bring your rl into an Internet argument, you've lost because you can't stand on your arguments merits and you try (and fail) to make appeals to your "authority"

Hell if you are a cop, you've threatened on sift lounge to smash my face in... So can I have your name and badge number so I can make some phone calls?

Didn't think so. So not only are you a violent cop, you're a coward

It's interesting that you called me a punk instead of a thug. Obviously you think I'm white then.

lantern53 said:

You are just a trolling punk, so why waste my time?

Also, I am still a cop, so...wrong again.

Good points Shiny - I also think we might be looking at the first signs of the nation state crumbling as the primary organiser of people in civilisation. Anyone remember how the US government was treated in SnowCrash? They were just another corporation jockeying for influence among many.

shinyblurry said:

This is true in every organization, and apparently in the most secret one in the world, that you have to have someone who runs the infrastructure, and it's probably going to be 29 year old unix geeks like this guy. The administrators of these secret networks will have unmitigated access to everything, which means they will see everything, and no one will be able to monitor them because no one understands what they do. The fact that this guy had that kind of access level is pretty mindblowing in itself. Seems like system admins in intelligence agencies are able to see more about what is really going on behind the scenes than almost anyone else. My guess is that they will more heavily compartmentalize the access of their IT departments in the future and be a little more selective about whom they are contracting these things out to.
