Understanding The Pedophile's Brain
No one can help the way they were born. We need to accept people for who they are. We all need to truly love ourselves. With compassion we can help make the world a better place for everyone. Hate, repulsion, and blanket exclusion are not helpful!
God damnit Chug.
Yes, that calf will likely be used for veal as are a lot of Holstein male calves that come from dairies. Some people don't want to see where their food comes from, thinking that animals are all cute and cuddly and should be saved is naive and unrealistic. Treating all animals with compassion and caring for them to keep them safe and comfortable is important for the farmers so that the animals grow better and are not injured or getting sick from stress.
For this calf you aren't right about the timing. My guess is that, that calf is between 2 and 4 weeks old and weighs less than 100 lbs. Veal are butchered at 18 to 20 weeks old and get up to 500 lbs at the time of slaughter. They aren't as cute and cuddly, but they are still animals with their own personalities whether funny, affectionate, or mean.
Why would someone beat their animals? It would just stress them out so the animals will get sick and probably die, losing the farmer money. And who can pick up 500 lbs to throw it into a truck? Your characterization is unrealistic and likely stems from your concern for the animals, which is admirable, but isn't based in reality.
To put some context here, this calf was separated from his mother to become veal. So it's easy to say "aww cute" but this creature is about to go through hell for somebody's sandwich.
This is what will happen to this calf within a few days: [url redacted]
He will be beaten and thrown onto the truck. He will have his head crushed by a bolt gun to knock him unconscious, and then he will be hung up my one leg and have his throat slit to kill him, and his unconscious body will choke on this own blood.

I'm all for the compassion shown by the teacher, but I'm with you about the sentence. I think it's not compassionate to let him off with just probation, neither for him nor his classmates. It's imperative that kids learn actions have consequences, serious actions have serious consequences, and imo probation hardly seems like any consequence at all unless there's also lots of community service AND mandated counseling. Even with both it seems minimal considering what he attempted. I would have included at least a few weekends in jail were I his judge.
Without hostility, I gotta be honest here: I don't really know what you're trying to say. My best guess is, "Treating him with compassion is good for [me]." In this case, at least, I disagree. If I were immortal and/or striving for sainthood, perhaps. But I have one life with limited time, as do those I love and seek to protect. Those who are in search of said sainthood may care for this person all they wish; and may they do it away from society and the rest of us who choose life.
It is foolish to issue probation to someone who brought a loaded gun to class. They've already demonstrated intent to harm and thus should have the option/means to do so again removed.

Funny thing about compassion. What you think is meant for others is REALLY meant for you.

Yeah, maybe I'm lacking compassion, but fuck compassion. You bring a gun to a classroom, your freedom is forfeit. Give him all the care you want to, apart from society. It's stupid to risk countless lives and loves of people who aren't deranged to coddle the feelings of one who is.
He'll be back.

I agree. His plan was to traumatize the entire class with his in your face suicide....assuming they have the story correct.
Pretending he was only going to harm himself, so deserves compassion, is not being honest or rational, imo.
I'm glad no one was hurt, but he definitely intended to severely hurt everyone in that classroom emotionally. I would hazard a guess that he expected some of them to be traumatized enough to follow his example. In school suicides often lead to more suicides.

60 teens vandalizing and looting Walgreens
Well... no, it's funny also. If a black comedian like Kevin Hart said the same thing it would be funny. It's a stereotype that needs to be mocked. If only black people are allowed to mock black stereotypes, isn't that racist also.
As far as stealing food goes, if you are making the case that food is being taken to fight hunger, and compassion is in order, I don't think that's the case here. Its being taken just the same anything else is, regardless. A grabber is no different than a vandal in this scenario. You break it or steal it, you buy it.
Black or white, this is just mob mentality and anyone who participates knows what the consequences are. If any. If nothing else, the store has learned something hopefully.
As far as what @bobknight posted, he did push the "jokingly says" button so I can choose to believe he mocks the very stereotype that was posted. And I did say it was wrong too.
No, it's just wrong - the job applications are online only, and if you actually watch what they're stealing, it's almost entirely food.
And actually, most of them don't steal anything, they're there to vandalize, not for theft.
Jim Says Christian Leaders Will Be Murdered If Trump Loses
"The world would be a better place without religion..."
Maybe. Probably not. We just can't will it into non-existence regardless. My hypothetical concern is, say we do get rid of all religion (by what? Burn all the books? Put them all in an Island? Killing them all once and for all? I'd LOVE to know your methods... but hey, off topic), then what? Human by nature will believe and follow in something/someone... Chinese followed their religion-banning dear leader MZD to their deaths by the millions. Germans got played into Nazis by a charismatic madman that resulted in WWII... my point is, we can't let any harmful idealism fall into the hands of charismatic leaders that cause real harm and be silent. Star Wars (and its mortal religious rival Trekkies) is a registered, legit religion to some but mostly for fun and harmless. Trumpism is arguably a religion itself in America now, and alt-right ideals are spreading all over the world from its aftermath that's 100% harmful IMO.
Religion as a practice can do immense good & evil in equal measure. We should all do our part in not letting people in power weaponize religion.
"Its the biggest sham in human history. " IMO, it's people in (religious/political) power that twists religion into a sham. And continues to. I blame these people, not the religion. Don't let these douchebags have their way!
A lot of people (majority even) fails to put the words of these religious books into historical context. Civilizations and cultures
evolve. Societal practices and knowledge of the physical world too. Look into the intent and context, then it'll do good. Twist religion into self-serving gavel of judgement (to others, NEVER to oneself!) then nothing good will come of it.
"Just goes to show how stupid the sheeple are."
Thing is, people get into (and out of ) religion for all kinds of reasons. Calling them all sheeple and stupid isn't doing anyone good service, merely shows your narrow view of religion (and stereotyping people of faith) more than anything, no? It's as wrong as a priest calling atheists must be lacking of a moral compass.
I'm with you in your disdain for mindlessness.
Are there sheeple? OF COURSE. Are blind followers stupid? Yes to a degree. But IMO these sheeple are stupid not because they're into a faith, but follow the words and commands blindly of their faith leaders without thinking of the intentions and lacking a firm grasp of reality and consequences.
We need to eliminate sheeple mentality, religious absolutism and self-righteousness that disrespect others, that thinks one is better than others because of following a religion.
I'm fine calling out the ridiculous among them, I do so in my church. Just don't call and treat everyone a sheeple. Besides, sheeple is not exclusive to religion, there are Apple sheeple, celebrity sheeple, political sheeple. Do we treat all of these people as sheeple with disdain?
But man... it's extremely disheartening to see the state of religion in the USA. I can see why some people are so against it there. I seriously can't feel defensive about it if I'm a US citizen, because watching videos like these do make sensible people wanting to punch that guy. But how can people NOT see through the idiocy and out right ban/disown that shit? That's the most concerning to me of American Christianity.
The world would be a better place without religion.... Its the biggest sham in human history. Just goes to show how stupid the sheeple are.

I will do that by giving you an illustration from the scripture. In Mark Chapter 9:17-24 we read about a man who came to Jesus asking Him to heal his demon possessed child:
17 Then one of the crowd answered and said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit.
18 And wherever it seizes him, it throws him down; he foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth, and becomes rigid. So I spoke to Your disciples, that they should cast it out, but they could not.”
19 He answered him and said, “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to Me.”
20 Then they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground and wallowed, foaming at the mouth.
21 So He asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?”
And he said, “From childhood.
22 And often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.”
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
The cure for unbelief in the bible is to ask the Lord to help your unbelief. When you begin to ask God to change your heart so you can believe, He will begin to do a work in your life that will you be able to perceive.
We are all deaf dumb and blind without God bringing light to our understanding. This is how you will be able to comprehend spiritual truth. This happens only through faith in Jesus. Faith in Jesus is turning from your sins and turning towards God to be forgiven
How do you communicate God's words to the "dumb, deaf and blind." Please keep it simple for me. I am all three.
You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying
Racist Australian Senator egged by hero kid
"go to western sydney, blah blah whatabout whatabout whatabout waaaahhhh" yawn..... been there, done that.
Are there some Muslims who aren't great people? Sure. Same way as there are some awful white people. But if I tarred them all with the same brush, I'd be as ignorant as senator wankstain.
And he's racist as fuck.
So if you want to learn how a left wing politician speaks with compassion, empathy and eloquence, I suggest you read NZ PM Jacinda Ardern's speech.
"We cannot know your grief, but we can walk with you at every stage. We can. And we will, surround you with aroha (love), manaakitanga(support) and all that makes us, us. Our hearts are heavy but our spirit is strong."
"Naeem Rashid, originally from Pakistan, died after rushing at the terrorist and trying to wrestle the gun from him. He lost his life trying to save those who were worshipping alongside him.
Abdul Aziz, originally from Afghanistan, confronted and faced down the armed terrorist after grabbing the nearest thing to hand – a simple eftpos machine. He risked his life and no doubt saved many with his selfless bravery."
And if you want to read how she speaks with resolve...
"A 28-year-old man – an Australian citizen – has been charged with one count of murder. Other charges will follow. He will face the full force of the law in New Zealand. The families of the fallen will have justice.
He sought many things from his act of terror, but one was notoriety.
And that is why you will never hear me mention his name.
He is a terrorist. He is a criminal. He is an extremist.
But he will, when I speak, be nameless."
I will waste no more time on your pathetic racist arse.
You've just proved exactly what I'm talking about.
You can't prove anything he said was racist, so we go straight to the lefty thing of calling me "low" because you've mistaken moral outrage for an actual argument.
You live close to Western Sydney if you are from NZ. Go there dressed with the slightest hint of being homosexual, Jewish, or if you are female show a little bit of leg. You'll see the real bigotry and intolerance very quickly.
Economy is Great for Billionaires, Bad for Working People
Good for you. At least you're leaving something for the people who really need it. I admire your compassion and contribution.
I've picked up a few people that have put guns to their heads and pulled the trigger because they didn't want to accept "Free Anything" either. Pride is responsible for a few deaths per year also, you know. All of them were men for some reason.
But remember, some of my money is in there in case you ever need it. Whether it's for medical or bullets, I don't discriminate. You know what's best for you. I would recommend however, asking your doctor first if bullets are right for you? Lead poisoning ain't pretty.
As far as fending for yourself, I wish you and your family good health.
Yep and I also can fend for my self.
More than most can say. I do not need a Government Santa Clause handing out free everything..
GOP Jesus
They missed a number of other things GOP Jesus clearly must have said...
"Blessed are the warmongers."
"Blessed are the vain and narcist."
"Totally judge others, or I'll judge you." GOP Jesus points to his eyes, at the crowd then back at himself and back at the crowd. "I'm watching you."
They could have expanded the healing the sick section to have him say something like "heal the sick, but don't care if the debt crushes the life out of them, tell them they should have gotten a better job".
"They who have much on Earth will have more in Heaven, those who have little will be given even less."
"Don't be a light unto the world, be one of if not the reason most people leave the faith or are turned off the faith if they aren't in it."
"Many others will come in my name and say they are doing things in my name... they are totally real and fully approved by me."
And my personal favorite of GOP Jesus' teachings. "Let those who have sinned, totally throw stones, especially stones of hatred, bigotry and discrimination."
EDIT to add:
Oh and "don't render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar, do all you can to keep as much for yourself, to hell with the public good... but don't forget to render unto me."
And of course "Ignore Sodom's sin, focus only one of the small supporting things they did, sexual immorality, and ignore the other supporting things like being hostile to foreigners, hate foreigners with all your heart, have no compassion for them. And when you read 'And this is the sin of your sister Sodom.' Ignore the sentence after that, because the Father was crazy that day. 'For she was a land of plenty and did little to help the needy and the poor in her borders.' Pfshh... as if. If you are a land of plenty, I tell you now, don't help the needy and the poor."
White House revokes CNN reporters press pass
Sticking Fox in there as well shows you aren't serious. Fox is pure propaganda to the extent their top rated hosts (they don't have reporters) actually went on the campaign trail with Trump and spoke at his rallies....talk about agenda.
Trump's actions and words are 98% negative, it's who he is. Reporting on him in a negative light IS honest reporting....for Christ's sake, he repeatedly lusted after his under age daughter publicly, how do you report that as a positive? "He has the fortitude of character to not act on his incestuous fantasies....at least publicly."? Can't say the same about his friend's wives or work subordinates, though.
The day of the synagogue shooting, which was targeted specifically because Trump said repeatedly that Jews are paying dangerous illegal aliens to invade the country, and with more bombs still in the mail, Trump again shirked any responsibility for his rhetoric and blamed the media for his named enemies (including the same media) being targeted by people who quoted his words in their manifestos, and again called the news media enemies of the people, the words that triggered the right wing terrorists in the first place. You argue that, by reporting his complete lack of civil leadership and his targeted threats that are being acted on, they are the problem and the one's taking jabs?! Trump didn't hold off media bashing for a single sentence, his call for unity and his blame and attack were in the same opening sentence of his remarks.
Trump is the leader of the free world, but he never once has he lead towards civility, and excessively rarely honesty or rationality. You expect cable news anchors to be the moral compass of the nation, and completely excuse president from that obligation?! *facepalm
Trump ran on being insulting and derisive of any non Trumpian coverage, Jim is just his latest target by proximity, it would be someone else if it wasn't him. Baby needs a bad man to spit up on.
If this behavior warrants removing credentials, Fox, Breightbart, and Alex Jones would have been permanently barred over a decade ago, but they're all more than welcome....largely because they were constant rude assholes to Obama and had zero respect for the office when he held it.
Good luck demanding professionalism and civility now, after 8 years of birtherism that ship sailed with Trump at the helm. Whining about it now like a thin skinned 3rd grader only makes Trump more ridiculous and hypocritical.....which is astonishing as he had already raised the bar of hypocrisy into orbit.
I would disagree on your description of the news media as it stands today.
I refuse to call it unbiased when I see an agenda,
an obvious agenda to discredit Trump at most anything he does.
CNN isn't the only trashy one.
I stick Fox in there as well but both have moments of clarity when they do simply report the news without adding their own bias to it or even editing out certain parts to make it look worse.
As an example I used to hate that Gutfield character on Fox News but anymore I find I agree with him on the insanity going on.
He has made several jabs at Trump as well.
How can you not call CNN fake news when the majority of their programming is all about Trump in a negative light?
The day of the mass shooting of Jews CNN said one minute they needed to try to cool things off with Trump etc and the next I knew they were right back bashing him.
I'd say about half an hour tops they held off the bashing.
If you are insanely jealous of Trumps winning ways than I can see how you may think CNN is legit.
Acosta wasn't even close to being civil.
Watch the original clip again and see how long he grandstanded for.
He does this far too often.
If you are that dense you need Jim Acosta to harass the President to show you what's up then I feel bad for you.
He could be much more effective if he was more professional and probably a much greater thorn in Trumps side.
Trevor Noah EVISCERATES the Civility Argument
Until you've argued that black is white, the sun rises in the west, that we've always been at war with Eastasia, and are perfectly willing to fuck over most of the world for your own self-aggrandizement, you have come nowhere near to sinking to Trump's level.
SHS was politely asked to leave a restaurant because of her role as a willing and eager mouthpiece for policies that physically and emotionally have hurt (at a minimum) thousands of people. That we're equating that with something like gay people being refused service because of who they are says a lot about how skewed our perception of balance is.
People making the civility argument in good faith (i.e., not Fox talking heads) are making it because they actually have a moral compass and know that two wrongs don't make a right.
However, what was done to SHS isn't a wrong--no harm was done to her other than embarrassment, which is exactly what she should be feeling about her role in the world. When people are being terrible, whether it's a child, the president, or one of his enablers, they need to be told politely but firmly that it's not OK.
Think of this less as pouring gasoline on a fire and more like a controlled burn to help control the blaze.
As tempting as it is to sink to Trump's level (and I've certainly been guilty of this myself), I fear we're trying to put out a fire with gasoline.
