Neil Peart Drum Solo,R.I.P
he's midi triggering sounds so there's a disconnect between the type of sound you're expecting and the sound you're hearing. also possible there's millisecond delay from the samples and/or slight latency in the playback.
Ice Age is Coming 1978 Science Facts
They had a range of topics. But this one was pretty much straight up science. Just about all of it is still very mainstream. The first ice core dude is talking about the Younger Dryas event, a very quick cooling event on the way out of the most recent glaciation. The second science dude in the room of core samples is talking about Milankovitch theory, still mainstream, but it was considerably newer then.
The spin direction is different, but the attempt to stir up climate fear is the same as today. It just didn't work quite as well back then, for some reason.
"In Search Of" also did shows on UFOs, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster.

Viking Fingerprint Trigger Lock Picked FAST
The reason I'd use a biometric vs a keyed trigger lock is for speed and ease of use in the dark. If I have to give it a little squeeze to get it to release, zero concern. Does it secure the firearm? Yes. Is it 100%, no. Show me one that is.
p.s. in a random sampling, the twenty-three 15 year old boys in my algebra class, none of them own or plan to buy a flat piece of bent metal that precisely fits in a lock of this type, let along lock picking tools. The determination that this lock is no good is based on tests that have little to do with the intended function.
How This Cyclist Hit 184MPH and Set the World Record
Again, SHE'S NOT A PRO! She doesn't take anything away from the pros but also gives them a chance to break her record. (If they got the guts)
Unrelated, this is me back in 2011 making a 2,500 mile bike trip which I did in 3 months. It was something I did to see if I actually wanted to bike across country. From Cape Canaveral beach to Vandenberg Air Force Base. I would carry a sample of sand from the east and then dump it on the beach in the west.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I still haven't been able to make that trip. But I loved every minute of the trip I did.

I think pro riders don't go for this record because they don't see it as a legitimate riding record, just a dangerous equipment test.
Antarctica Is Losing Ice At An Accelerating Rate
I think it might be because people keep drilling core samples...
DJ Cummerbund - Don't Stop 'Til You Mash Enough
Barron Trump? That would explain all the unlicensed, unpaid for, stolen samples.
Why Roller Coaster Tracks Are Filled With Sand
Maybe it is hard to demonstrative over video, but I'm disappointed that the video didn't include any actual sand samples before and after.
Four producers remix the same jazz piano sample
So here's my opinion.
I hate this.
Why you ask?
Because, while each producer has become the artist, none of them respect the music. I understand this is the assignment. But it's wholly representative of what's wrong with the music industry today.
Don't miss-understand me, I respect the artistry of the process they go through. They have all created a new personal piece. Respect for that part.
BUT, Music is more than re-sampling. The ORIGINAL artist matters. When I listen to music, I want to hear the artist who created the piece. I want to experience the sound of someone playing actual instruments. There is no replacement for the talent of a musician.
I would accept this IF the producer, actually crated their own samples first. This in affect is like a do-it-yourself paint-by-numbers kit.
I love the sounds, but I never want to hear music where it's so overly-produced that it erases or lays claim to a sound above the original musician's piece.
Where have all the musician's gone? - They all went digital! and the music died.

Vegan Diet or Mediterranean Diet: Which Is Healthier?
Clearly the statistics are stacked because we all know real vegans don't have jobs
I'd take the Fisherman's Friend study with a grain of salt :-) For starters it's going to be a biased sample, and for all we know it just means sick vegans prefer to buy Fisherman's Friend Lozengers than non-vegans.
They are going really hard with fear mongering in the UK, because veganism is taking hold - 7% of the population is now vegan :-)
I didn't have to wait long for other evidence....a major study recently released in the UK showed vegans took >twice as many sick days as non vegans and needed to see a doctor >three times as often.
Sure doesn't sound healthy to me.
Vegan Diet or Mediterranean Diet: Which Is Healthier?
Yeah, any type of cherry picking in studies irks me badly. For instance, I recently got into an internet argument with one of the people who try to claim we didn't land on the moon.
They were using the results of a single study that tentatively said the Van Allen radiation outside of LEO possibly causes higher rates of cardio-vascular disease in astronauts. I then read the study and found out they picked 7 out of the 13 deceased astronauts vs a sample of 100 LEO astronauts, plus the general public's rates of CVD. That set off my alarm bells, so I then looked at the ages the people died at and their actual cause of death on the internet.
Three of the astronauts died at 56, 61, and 61. So basically about a decade early. The other 4 died in their 80's, basically a decade later than average. Out of those 4, they were suffering other conditions and illnesses that might have influenced the final cardiac failure. Sadly no one in the scientific community seems willing to challenge the study, so it stays valid, and the news media posted great big headlines about it when it came out.
Like I told the person I was arguing with, the median age of death of lunar astronauts is 87, even including the three that died early. Even if Van Allen radiation increases CVD likelihood, living to 80 something is pretty damn spectacular, so it really doesn't matter if you die from CVD, cancer, or a stroke.
Indeed....
In this interview Neal Barnard admits he exaggerates and lies to get people to consider going vegan.....

Edit:
Far from the first time, I have yet to hear a vegan doctor who wasn't a bold faced liar about the science. One claimed the WHO had declared eating moderate levels of red meat more dangerous than smoking cigarettes when in fact the study he cited was for high consumption of highly processed cured meats and only said they appear to be carcinogenic and need more study, they did not make a comparison with cigarettes or rate the danger levels, but vegans still make that false claim based on these "doctors'" exaggerated claims because it seems being vegan rots your brain.

Vance's Incredible 365 day transformation will blow you away
I can believe that a plant based diet is healthy, but there’s no way that study proves “No exercise, all you can eat weight loss”.
There are a multitude of problems with it, starting with the tiny sample size and selection bias.
I can't believe you downvoted a health study that's from your home country
Do you hate plant based diets that much?
