Exceedingly few individualists have ever stood up and fought for it, even fewer are willing to die for it. If you assume Americans will stand up and fight for their rights and freedom, I'll assume you haven't ever paid attention to many Americans.

The word "refugee" DOES exist in the US, because it's descriptive OF the US. A large part of our population are refugees, arguably including many of the founders.

That rifle behind every blade of grass didn't help much in 1812, nor did it scare the Moonies (the only group to ever commit a biological attack on America). Don't be fooled that we intimidate anyone with our armed populace. We are more dangerous to ourselves than to others.

We can do whatever we want in our country. Just as you can do whatever you want in yours. Don't like America or Americans then go to your router and block the CIDR from ARIN.net and you'll never see another one.

Every country should have pride in their country. That's why we stay in our respective countries and will die to defend our country and way of life.

Individualism is freedom
Collectivism is social retardation and revisionism.

But as an individual I can hate whoever I want and think however I want and associate with whoever I want. That's the freedom of individualism.

Have you seen anything about the rise of Jeremy Corbyn (a long standing Labour party backbench rebel) in the UK party leadership election? There's quite an internet "buzz" around it. Almost a kind of British Syriza moment.

I've been saying for a long time that people could just be primed for an honest politician, with the modern social media apps/tech allowing for some real grass roots action.

The sad thing, it won't make a lick of difference.

I listen to ppl in Aus bemoaning the loss of a local manufacturing industry and other jobs because everything is getting outsourced to cheaper China or India. But they won't spend an extra cent than they have to to buy the quality product and support locals.

We are victims of our own making. If a person bullies you, you either stand up to them, ask for help, or allow it/run away from it. We sate our desire for freedom by purchasing more things we don't need, filling our lives with junk that doesn't make us happy, but distracts us momentarily from the state we are in. We don't take responsibility for allowing the rich, the corps, the gov running over us and taking away our rights. We complain on the internet but won't take to the streets, and feel like we've made a difference even as we get soaked as the hurricane blows our piss back in our face.

We are the problem. The US was founded on the grass roots movement against British imperialism. I'm an Australian and I understand that. It's not until US citizens get that and actually decide to do something about it that anything will change.

And when nothing changes and we're slaves to the corporate machine with no recourse, we'll blame everything but ourselves.

I think it'd almost have to be fake grass, otherwise you'd wind up with bits of grass and earth finding their way into the pool. Plus you wouldn't be able to leave the pool open for extended periods or the grass would die. Fake grass will also be lighter and while it looks like it's a single platform here, you could theoretically build one that coils/stacks away to save space.
